One tip-many local school classes etc-go early or later.Remember certain sauna traditions apply. Kemin Jalokivigalleria (Kemi Gemstone Gallery)

A gallery/museum with gemstones, including the crown made for the King of Finland (never used as Finland became a republic) and a replica of the British Imperial State Crown.

Reviewed By bt441 - London, United Kingdom

I really liked this, there are lots of gemstones to look at and upstairs they have replicas of many of the most famous gemstones including Marie Antionette's diamond necklace and Queen Elizabeth's crown. The place is quite small (only 2 rooms) and shares a building with a comic museum, which is a little odd. The ticket costs 10 euros and gets you into both. The ticket is a little expensive, but is well worth it if you are interested in this kind of thing. I was the only person in there so you do it a good chance to have a close look at them, which you certainly do not get if you go to the Tower of London to see the original.

the experience was better than we expected it to be... the carvings, drawings were so exquisite... so detailed that you can only imagine the amount of hard work put in it being encased in a castle made entirely of snow and ice....its a feeling hard to describe you feel like a child discovering each new stature, mural, sculture... would give it 6 stars if available
