Lagoa do Paraiso

To get there you either book a trip (65 Reais) that will bring you to few other destinations as well as here. Or you just go there on a collectivo (20 Reiais one way) which I did. The collectivo starts when the car is full which means you usually have to wait around an hour. The car drops you at the entrance of the beach club Alchymista where you spend your time. This place is very posh and I wasnt really up for it in this moment. If you want to spend a bit more time here bring some money since the prices here are a bit higher.
Its a beautiful white sand beach and the hammocks in the water are definitely an attraction. For me it was all a bit too commercial.

This is one of those must do things when I jeri but personally I found it disappointing. The sunset wasn't special and the wind makes it uncomfortable as you're hit with sand the entire time there. Much preferred watching the sunset from the chilli cool hotel - away from the beach wind and with a Caipirinha!

The beach is spacious and is less crowded than most other Beaches I have so far visited in Brazil. The water is shallow so that you cant really swim here but most people come here for kite Surfing. Every evening people gather here to watch the sunset.

It is a nice beach, but not the best in Jeri. I was there to see the landscape, got back to the main beach 10 min later. The place is full of rocks and there were no people in the sea actually. Anyway, go if you have spare time.

Pedra Furada

Reviewed By RTissi

It's a wonderful place, with beautiful sightseeing. It's a killer if you want to take "that picture that will cause envy in your friends". You can reach there by buggy, horse-car, or hiking by the coast. The last option is right by the coast, with some hard, rocky paths to overcome, takes about 1 hour, but gives you that powerful, " I did it" feeling.

Farol do Serrote

Reviewed By ajaceman - Vancouver

It is a long, dry, wind beaten hike to get to the Farol, and when you finally get there it is not the grand lighthouse you had been hoping for but a small winky blink on a stubby square tower. But the destination makes for a great hike near the lovely town of Jericoacoara. Bring water on the walk to the top of the Serrote.

Kiteiscool, is a better choice in Jericoacoara to learn how to kite, our team of professional iko instructors will be glad to help you. Kitesurf lessons for all levels! Enjoy us!

Reviewed By Anikabrazil - Rio de Janeiro, RJ

Kitesurfing is awesome!!! Decided to try it out with 2 kids. Instructors were super thorough, nice and spoke English. We learned everything we needed to know BUT ... you will only get on a board in 2-3 lessons - a serious investment!
Our hotel forgot to confirm for us so they didn't know we were coming - note -CONFIRM on your own the day before. In Brazil do as a Brazilian and download WhatsApp - you can communicate with everyone from your landlord to the hotel to the kite surf people. We had a great time but after our three hour lesson we were not picked up. We had to wait for about an hour. This might not of been a problem but with two children who are starving and in the desert sun it's no laughing matter ;). Just know that this like several places in the northeast of Brazil - it is disorganized and you might end up stranded on the beach. Bring your phone, install WhatsApp and get a data plan. Hopefully you won't have any problems getting home!
