We heard a rumor about Cerro Las Nubes, but information on how to get there was a little sparse. With the cable no longer working, a hike is in order. TO GET THERE: From the main plaza, go up the 80 steps by the RapiYa. At the top keep going straight ahead (Carrera 6) until you reach the gate and stone path at the end. Climb along the path and religious statues until you get to the wooden bridge. Just before the bridge, by the bench, you will veer off to the left and begin a steeper climb along a worn, dirt path. Keep to this path and you will be sure to reach the Cerro Las Nubes. It was a great hike; nothing too strenuous but a bit of a work out in a few places for sure. The views are incredible. We were on a ridge in the park with fog on one side and clear valley views on the other. Very surreal. Take along water and snacks, but please take out any garbage with you. I would not recommend being on the dirt trail during rainy or wet weather as it could become very hazardous.

We visited this beautiful church, with a lot of history, this town was a reference for the old religious architecture on the south west of Antioquia's state. You will find an interesting religious museum at the lower level.

This is a small and well worth seeing museum with various art works, photography and a section with old pictures and some history of Jerico. Has a shop. 3m pesos entry

After our first visit in the Jardin Botanico, it became our daily ritual. Each morning we would visit and sit and enjoy the tranquility and listen to birds and absorb nature. Before we were done, I am sure we had walked every trail and discovered hidden little vistas. It is definitely not to be missed if visiting Jerico. And the path along the way to Cristo Redenter is not strenuous and well kept.
