Visited this beautiful gallery in October with friends. Huge collection of Soviet (mostly) porcelain I knew nothing about. Stunning lacquer miniature of Palekh, Fedoskino, Mstera, Kholyi. Great thanks to Yuri Marushkin, the founder and owner of the gallery. He takes you on a tour, tells the story of these great crafts, answers all possible questions.

Highly recommended if you are in Ples. Also not bad place for seeing a sunset (still, note that ideal place for seeing a sunset or taking its photos from a hill at Ples would be the nearby hill).

Very authentic building - house of a wealthy family. Has many original features. Museum inside is excellent. All walls, doors, windows whisper history. Walking through this place gives one a sensation of being in some time machine, outside reality.

The Burilin Ivanovo Historical Museum is considered to be one of the best Russian provincial museums. Its origins lie in the will of the Ivanovo-Voznyesensk manufacturer, Maecenas and collector Dmitriy Burilin. The Museum opened to the public on 26 December 1914. The design for the museum was produced in neoclassical order by the architect Pavel Trubnikov. The materials for the building were very expensive, some of them were brought from Italy - coloured tiles and mosaic for the floors and marble for the main stairs. In his work under the collection Dmitriy Burilin was trying to bring Russian province nearer to the treasures of the world culture. In several decades (from the late 19th - to the early 20th centuries) he created the unique collection of items, which covered a wide chronological period from antiquity to the early 20th century. The collection includes books, China, painting, weapons, numismatics, objects of decorative and applied arts and many other things.

Great collections for a regional museum.
Downstairs - collection of birds, animals, plants, even mushrooms of the region. This helps see and identify what's around in the fields and parks around.
All original fittings are of superb quality. White ballroom, huge astronomical clock, antique book collection, coin collections and weapons display. I was first a bit apprehensive to see all these weapons, but with the detailed excursion, there was much history and art in it.
Beautiful, enriching, enlightening, inspiring place.

This is a jewel. It is on the Volga at Ples. Very difficult to get to. But so worth a visit. It show cases the work and life of one of the world's greatest landscape artists, and is an amazing insight into the life of a rural gentleman in the late Czarist era.
The river at Ples is magnificent and one can actually take a boat out into the , and the view from the river to Ples is actually one of Levitan's landscapes.

It is definitely not for strolling. The so-called "Embankment" is just an average street, somewhat damaged. It is deserted, many shops are closed, and alongside the shore many old boats are docked. Not a very pleasant view.

Были в музее в составе туристической группы. Экскурсовод почти стихами на одном дыхании рассказала нам про каждую картину. Очень интересно и познавательно. Всего несколько залов, но это стоит того. Рекомендую к посещению

Удачно выбрано место, красивый вид на Волгу и противоположный берег. Именно дачница, а не турист. Даже немного было завидно. Сесть и пару часов просто посидеть, почитать книгу, а нет необходимо бежать, "труба" зовет.

Монастырь расположен в г. Иваново и по меркам города является достаточно большим. Монастырь женский. Построен из красного кирпича-уже чуть потемневшего и имеет темные купола, что создает немного мрачное впечатление. Внутри церковь очень красивая. Роспись, иконы- завораживает. Часто во время службы поет хор.
