A must-see sight, a must-visit Church. The pictures that you can see posted anywhere say it all - it definitely deserves to be labeled as UNESCO Heritage Site. Day or night - it's a sight to behold.
Tip: Go inside and pray. It's a different feeling to be inside. A little creepy especially at night but solemnity is definitely present.

...going to the Ilocos region won't be complete without visiting this place. It is indeed a majestic church that hold lots of history for Paoay. The Gardens are huge and the tower is imposing. The interior is spacious with ancient adornments.
Parking around this area may cost P20 per vehicle..so keep the ticket with you and show to the attendant it when you transfer parking space..they may ask you to pay twice.

Saud beach is one of the cleanest beach I’ve ever been to: Nice powdery sand; clear blue-green water with not-so mild waves crashing into the beach; windmills as backdrop against this magnificent view... Best of all, you got to enjoy a beautiful sunset right in front of you…
If only they could get rid of the dogs loitering around… I wonder where they poop?

Some people may think it expensive, but considering the total activity (lasted an hour), was well worth our time and money. It was the best activity of our entire Ilocos visit. The scenery at their predetermined stops were breathtaking. The driver was respective snd considerate as we explained our daughter’s fear of heights. He chose the less steep drives. Then he suggested that he could drop us off at the staging area and he could drive our son on one of the steep drives for our son to experience the steeper drive. So we all managed to enjoy the full experience based on our neuroses.

Located in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, Kapurpurawan Rock Formation is along the popular Kapurpurawan beach (called by locals). The term ‘kapurpurawan’ is the Ilocano word for 'white'.
You need to walk a bit across the sea side and several steps before you'll reach the majestic array of white rocks. You might think it's made of ivory. Best thing: it’s free to go here and take pictures.
PS. Don't go when it's rainy. The path will be muddy and it will be difficult to walk.

Amazing waterfall with an astounding 112 foot drop. You trek for 30 minutes and come to this. Cool water and shallow enough for your kids to swim.

This concrete coastal bridge stretches more than a kilometer long. It connects the northernmost provinces of Mainland Luzon, Ilocos Norte and Cagayan. From the bridge one can see the vast expanse of the ocean. With nothing much to see in the area, it is better to just include a visit to the bridge as one of your target destinations when in the Ilocos region.

Malacanang of the North was the residence of former president Ferdinand Marcos. Today, it serves as a museum that shows old pics of their family, Filipiniana dress of Imelda Marcos, bedrooms, some of their valuable belongings, there is a room that shows Strong Men of Asia and the garden that has a stunning view of Paoay Lake.

The lighthouse is beautiful and is a perfect example of Spanish colonial architecture. The place is very well-maintained and boasts of furniture from the late 19th century and early 20th century. It's hard to climb all those steps leading to the top of the lighthouse especially because of the heat, but the view from the top is a great payoff.
