Top 10 Things to do in Ibiza, Balearic Islands

March 28, 2022 Viva Honore

Ibiza: Old Spanish for "party 'til you drop." Perhaps not literally, but this is definitely one of Europe's favorite nightlife playgrounds. Ibiza boasts more than 100 miles of coastline with some 50 beaches, plus plenty of restaurants, bars, and water sports—and clubs, of course. Fit in a little culture and visit Ibiza's UNESCO-designated old town.

Dalt Vila

Dalt Villa was really the main point on our list to visit when we arrived in April, due to it being low season and not expecting too much to be open. Parking was extremely difficult so I can't imagine what it would be like when the town is really busy in the summer. We ended up driving out of town with a 10.minute walk back. Even that was difficult to find a space. The old town is full of atmosphere, lots of little alleyways with cobbled streets, tiny shops, cafes and restaurants situated in the plazas. The weather was superb which made it even more pleasant to walk around and up to the Castle overlooking the harbour and the coastline. Definitely a must to see as a visitor.

€7 to rent a sun bed We had to wait in a line for 25 minutes in the scorching sun to enter the other side of the beach as they didn’t want everyone together the beach is very small for the amount of people there. However walk is very tiring up the hill to get to the other beach but many beautiful views

Cala Bassa

Reviewed By JPrice84 - West Heath, United Kingdom

We’ve been coming to Cala Bassa for a few years now and it’s clear that they are investing a lot of ££ here. There is a large car park with plenty of space. 5 euros to park but you get given a voucher for a free beer so not actually expensive at all. There’s a board walk that takes you from the car park to the beach so if you have a buggy then access isn’t bad. The beach is long, sandy and flat so again good for young children. It does get busy so I would recommend arriving by 10.30 to get space. There are people who sell pretty much anything on the beach; fresh fruit, beers, soft drinks, water and the facilities provided by Cala Bassa Beach Club are really good. There is loads of choice for places to eat, toilets, showers, shops, music, sun beds & umbrellas. I’d suggest calling and booking the day prior if you want a bed. Definitely one of my favourite beaches on the island and no doubt we’ll be back again next year.

Sa Caleta

Reviewed By ArvindYerram - Hyderabad, India

This beach is one of the best in the town. Cliffs on one side and clear water on the other, sand beneath and clear skies is a perfect setting for a lovely day. It is well maintained and very modern in approach. Restaurants nearby don't charge much either.
