This fantastic area on Parramatta River provides everything you could want in an outdoor activity area. There are the remains of the old Woolwich shipbuilding docks, a fantastic view of Cockatoo Island across the river, brilliant views of Sydney up the river and the ability to watch the river traffic. There is a huge area to walk along the riverbank and enjoy the parkland as well as plenty of picnic tables and free electric BBQ's that are very popular on weekends as well as well maintained bathroom facilities. One thing that attracts us to the reserve is it is a great place to go fishing. Parking is metered on weekends and there is not a lot so get in early. If there is fireworks on Sydney Harbour this reserve is a fantastic vantage point. Just up the road from the reserve is a number of very good restaurants and the Woolwich Pier Hotel.

I have been attending The Yoga House as a client for 13 years now and I just love the yoga and how it makes me feel. A few years ago, I felt I wanted to know more about the yoga to get myself healthier. I decided to undertake the teacher training and have not regretted my decision! I choose the Yoga House as they are close to home, but also because of the variety of teachers who offer a wealth of experience and knowledge. They have gently pushed me to strive to improve my personal practice and inspired me to want to help others through teaching good quality yoga. We were taught how to break down the moves for ourselves and how to teach them effectively to others. The teaching staff are always on hand to offer help and advice, even after the training is complete. Students are also encouraged to meet past students and attend a variety of classes to help strengthen the support. The Yoga House offers students a community of yoga teachers where you feel mentored and valued.
