We worked with Rob who is one of John's guides for a 2 day guided tour of Yosemite. We had a great time, and really appreciated Rob's deep understanding of the park, and all of the special areas that we wouldn't have found on our own. He was kind, patient, easy going, and very flexible. We had 2 families of 5 including 6 children, and Rob handled us perfectly. He catered to each person and tailored the tour to make everyone in the group happy. He also has a great background in biology and knows a ton about the various plants, trees, and wildlife which was a nice bonus! We learned a ton and really felt like this was a great experience. Thanks to John to hooking us up with Rob!

We arrived at midday and left at 3:30pm. It was such a wonderful experience. Yes there were lots of people but the atmosphere was fun filled and friendly so didn't take away from the visit.
The place is a natural beauty and well worth the visit. If you don't have a confident swimmer with you like our 4yr old then we recommend taking floats for them to also enjoy the water fall currents more comfortably and safely.

Founded in 1965, Sierra Mac is a locally based, family-owned business. We are located just 15 miles outside Yosemite's northwest entrance on Highway 120, perched above the Tuolumne River canyon. Our experienced guides are privileged to host your Yosemite rafting trip. Escape the crowds and connect with yourself, your friends, and the rivers of Yosemite.

Our half day tour on Merced was very nice. The guides were very experienced and friendly. We enjoyed getting into the water to take a swim during the ride. There are a few Class 4 spots, but in general it is not a very scary...MoreHi Kalpesha, When are you going to book a Tuolumne trip? I'm sure you will enjoy that ride!

Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course

Reviewed By frequent1 - Groveland, California

Though my game could improve I really enjoyed playing this course. Its very forgiving and the views are spectacular as is all the wildlife with many deer peppering the course, woodpeckers everywhere and squirrels and turkeys walking accross the course. The golf carts look new and the course is very well maintained. The greens were fast but not too fast. It was not extremely crowded and the pace of play was neither rushed nor slow.

We had lunch at the club grill and the food/service were really good and priced quite well. We will be back soon I hope.

Yosemite Cellars

We are a small production estate vineyard and winery located near Yosemite National Park. Our wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in our vineyard where we emphasize sustainable farming practices. Wine tasting is available by appointment.

Reviewed By aharness2016 - Savannah, Georgia

I had an appointment for a wine tasting, and drove 50 minutes to get to the vineyard. We arrived to the vineyards, and when I looked down at my phone, the I see an email where the owner cancelled the tasting an hour before (There is hardly any cell phone service in the area by the way). I called the owner's cell, and she said "I see you didn't get my message cause you are in my driveway". I thought it was very rude for her to not keep our appointment, since we had drove all the way to the vineyards, and we had obviously not gotten her message due to the poor cell service in the area.

Called in for drinks and bite to eat and found the place to be full. Spoke to a lady about ordering some food who didn't seem to pleased and suggested an hours wait so we went for a walk along the high street. On returning we went to the bar and ordered some drinks and were served by a delightful lady.
We then managed to get seats at the bar and ordered food and again she was simply fab despite being really busy. There was only her and a chap behind the bar but she served everyone with a smile and chat. Fab place with food if you get the right person!!

Pine Mountain Lake Marina

Reviewed By frequent1 - Groveland, California

Went to the marina for a late lunch. The parking lot was quite full. Plenty of people swimming and sunning. The line for food was 20 minutes and the food came about 20 minutes after that and then it was cold. We couldn't even get a drink while waiting. The service is friendly but their process must be broken as they're unable to handle what I would think is reasonable traffic for any fast food place. The shakes and smoothies were pretty good.
