Clos Mogador

Reviewed By jodim106 - San Jose, Costa Rica

We spent 90 minutes in the vineyards with our wonderful tour guide. He provided the essential history of the Priorat region and displayed his deep knowledge of the terroir and the challenges of growing in this environment. The tour was followed by a tasting of some of the wines produced by the Barbier family.

What a treat to enjoy the Devinssi vineyards and wine cellar! In a place as well-known as the Priorat region with so many large suppliers, Devinssi provides intimate and authentic vibes, a one-on-one feeling between you and the wine, and it's much appreciated. Jordi accompanied us on our visit, a passionate guy with lots of energy, who knows a ton about the area — and lots of languages too!

Beautiful old cellars, very good value wines that are precise and interesting. Certainly not the best wines in the region but probably amongst the most modernly styled.
