As my girlfriend and I reflected on our two week trip to Italy the half day cooking class at Toscana Mia definitely was a highlight. The setting in a home in theTuscan countryside surrounded by olive trees and vineyards was perfect. Ribollita, Tacchino al latte, Pepperoni al forno, Foccacia, and Biscotti di prato were the five recipes we learned. It meant for plenty of hands on work for us and our six newly made friends in our class. The prep and cooking was enjoyed with wine and the ultimate was enjoying the results of our work at a long kitchen table with plenty of local wine and of course Vin Santo with our Biscotti. Lastly and most important, our class leader Simonetta and her sister Paola were fabulous hosts and their love for the teaching and learning exchange mixed in with their passion for Italian cooking will never be forgotten. Semplicemente fantastico !!!

Highly recommend this castle! The entry fee also includes wine tasting at their wine room down the road. The views and castle are amazing! There is parking limited parking at the top which is not listed at the parking lot at the bottom. I suggest trying parking at the top especially with small children.

We hired a Vespa here for two days. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The scooter was almost new and a pleasure to ride on.
We were fitted properly for helmets and given the low down of dos and do nots. The guys spoke very good English and gave us a good demo of the bike before we went off.
They have maps there you can buy at 10 Euro but you can get them cheaper elsewhere. They also sell a map at 8 Euro which sends you on a tour around the chianti region and it tells you where to go eat drink stop etc. This was great and we used it but it costs 8 Euro and is printed by themselves. It's a shame it's so expensive as it's one route and when it's done that's it. I do t think it's worth 8 Euro sorry guys. It wasn't a proper map to scale but the information was useful. It would be nice if it was free or just a couple of Euro maybe. That is my only downside to the whole experience. We had the scooter two days and would have been better buying a map for 10 Euro because we ended up having to buy one anyway once the route map was done.
The bike was in excellent condition. The helmets were the same the service was excellent and we will definitely use you again. The value of the hire was very good and the help given was great. The route map we used did give us a wonderful day out and took the effort out of finding good places to stop. It's a good idea.
Lots of people stopped and admired the bike

I had had great expectation for our stay in Chianti. We thought the experiences would be that of Provence, that is, great food and wine, idyllic scenery, comfortable accommodation, and leisurely atmosphere. But upon entering our room here, my dream was shattered. This B & B used to be a monastery, so the deco is out of fashion and not cozy at all. It seemed that it was not renovated at all. Everything is antique. Worst of all, there was no hot water to take a bath during our stay that night. In addition, the wifi connection didn't work in our room. But the wine tasting tour here was terrific. We had great wine and learned a lot during the tour. The breakfast and the dining place was terrific, too. If they took pains renovating the room and the hardware, we'd have had a better vacation spending in Chianti

This boutique hotel/winery has everything going for it, amazing location, views of the rolling hills of Chianti, historic buildings, awesome wine and super friendly staff. We were almost the only guests for our four night stay and were made to feel really welcome. We were met by a bubbly Christina on arrival who immediately offered us some wine and olive oil before we went to our room. The rooms are all unique and full of history, we also had access to a shared living room area and Terrace. The onsite restaurant Il Celliere was fantastic, amazing service, food to die for and a gorgeous setting. We had an unforgettable stay and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the Chianti region with the personal touch...

I read about this winery on TripAdvisor. And during our day trip around the Radda area, we were in need of some nice tasting and company. When we entered the winery, both were accomplished. Paula explained us a lot about winery and its history. We had a very nice time together and left the place with a superb experience, a nice agriturismo location, 6 bottles of chianti classico's, one bottle of olive oil and a grappa. All definitely worth the time, effort and money. Thanks a lot, Paula!!!!

Our Bavarian Tour Guide today was world class. Witty, well informed, intelligent and articulate. She seamlessly weaved multiple histories, cultures, wars and wine making into one highly informative and light hearted tour.
She also hosted a chianti wine tasting with skill and aplomb!
We loved it. Go meet her.
And the castle wasn't half shabby either. Highly recommended visit.

We visited for lunch with a party of eight, upon arrival our table was ready, elegantly appointed and outside on the veranda. It was absolutely beautiful and our experience only got better from there. In addition to the beautiful setting and view, we were pampered with great service, food and of course the wine! I can't recommend Castello di Ama enough. If you are close - treat yourself to a visit and you will not be disappointed.
