Overall, this museum has many engaging, fun exhibits. I found the admission steep, $10 per person. This is one instance where I think the supervising adults should get a price break. This is a very modern beautiful city park! Playground equipment has sun covers, bathrooms are clean and there is a library near by. There is also a bike trail attached, and walking track around the park, and a nature trail down the same street in walking distance.

Thoroughly enjoyed the stadium. It's a very nice facility. The Braves AA affiliate is doing a great job. They keep the crowd involved and the players actually seem to enjoy interacting with the crowd during pre-game activities. The ball field is well kept by the ground crew and the multimedia folks are top-notch. The food is "ballpark-priced" but very good. They even have jumpers for the kids before and during the game.
The youth baseball camp is awesome! They really teach the kids a lot and genuinely seem to have an interest in seeing the kids succeed. I would think most players at the minor league level would not enjoy having to babysit a bunch of little leaguers, but these guys truly looked like they enjoyed it and wanted to be there. For $150, these kids get a sack full of merchandise, lunch everyday, autographs, and invaluable baseball experience at a professional level. Worth every penny. You have to sign-up early because slots fill up. Jan Williams was very enthusiastic, and a tremendous help in getting my boy signed up.
We are definitely coming back every year!

Great place where you can take your kids and let them play/jump by themselves or jump with them. Very secure location with lots of things for them to do while there.

The old capital museum is a good place to stop for about an hour or two. There are lots of exhibits on Mississippi - from a territory to a state - that cover the states constitution, legislative and judicial offices, and even some traveling exhibits. Anyone in the area should stop and visit. The museum itself is free and there are restrooms to use.

A nature park with lots of gardens, a small pond with a water fountain, many geese, squirrels, and fox (on occasion). The park is equipped with water tanks and cups for walkers and runners. There are pavilions, an amphitheater and many benches. There is a one mile walking trail back in to the wooded area and a walk-way/pier looking out over the pond. Bathrooms are available.

The Flowood Nature Park is a great place to spend the afternoon. It has fully accessible, paved paths throughout the woods, around a pond with large fountain. It has picnic tables, clean public restrooms, and the park is full of wildlife. My kids love to take bread down to the pier and feed the turtles. We see tons of fish, geese, ducks, and there have been baby fox during spring time. There are pavilions, water stations throughout the park, and the park is very well shaded.

I had several hours with no husband and no kids. The flea market had been calling me and for $1, it was more than worth it. Everyone is super friendly. Most of the prices are reasonable, although a few are comical.
