This is a pleasant walk from most hotels near the airport. There are shops and an abundance of restaurants. You just have to select the type of food you want to eat. The area is excellent for seafood.

Our hotel was nicely situated on the port. The walk along the walk is beautiful! On the windy night - we stood at the end getting sprayed the the waves! It was fun to watch the boats come in; with the fish.

Took us around 10 minutes to walk, there is a bunch of foreigners selling cheap stuff and some locals fishing on the harbor. In general, it was ok to walk a bit, we found a nice restaurant and jumped in. There are views from the Tiber and the Mediterranean, our hotel (Hotel Tiber) was prety close.
Would I drive just to see this? No
Would I walk outside the hotel to have a look and smell the fish? Sure

Il Parco di Villa Guglielmi

We have wandered around this park and the large mansion for over 40 years. It is now fully restored, and the 'garden' consists of many hectares of paths, jogging areas and picnic areas. The tall pine trees that originally lined the driveways to the house are magnificent. The air is usually very fresh, and this is a popular place for serious work-outs, gentle ambles, and everything in between. The house itself is no longer open to the public, and its mysterious underground shelters have been filled in. Nevertheless, this is a pleasant place to enjoy a little slice of Italy. Keep children away from the semi-stagnant stream that runs along one edge of the park - it is putrid when warm, although large water rats seem to find it a suitable home.

This is the excavations of the port of Ostia, one of the finest ancient Roman sites between Rome and Fiumincino; Ostia was Rome's principal port , abandoned in the fourth century; but over so many centuries the ruins of the site are incredibily preserved, like a Roman commercial town and it comparies pretty well with Pompei sights. House of Diana is probably the best preserved private home; you will enjoy many lovely views, it's very nice.

MOAI Beach

I have travelled in many countries around the world but few spots have given me the peace and the rest that Passoscuro Moai beach does. It is really amazing. Many elements contribute to a magic atmosphere: The friendship and courtesy of the People there, Emanuele, Michelangelo and all the staff, the good music (quality music not the commercial garbage other places play) the great food (at an affordable price), the fantastic design of the place itself ... The beautiful beach ...
At Moai Beach I had the chance to enjoy some of the greates sunsets, with a good glass of wine, Reading a good book, and thinking that life is great thanks to places like that.
There are times at Moai where ... a sense of magic ... fills the place. A magic vibe that touches the soul and give a sense of happiness just for being there.
I found it one of the greates place in the world and absolutely inspiring. It's a great joy whenever I can go there. Try it... You'll love it.

Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Chiesa di Santa Maria Porto della Salute

Reviewed By Fernando R - Limeira
