Set in the 40 km loop Great Ocean Drive, a few minutes out of Esperance, is this famously beautiful white sand beach with very interesting granite rock formations. Be careful about climbing on the granite rock formations that can be very slippery. The white sand and clear turquoise water are perfect for perfect swimming conditions. This is one of Australia's most scenic Beaches and is popular with families and fishermen. Parking is free and abundant.

The road was constructed between 1919 and 1932 and dedicated to soldiers who died during World War I. The section on maritime discovery and history is smaller than you'd expect, then it goes into a big but typical collection of country artefacts, including a train, but it does spread around interesting things on things like the skylab crash.

Frenchman's Peak

Reviewed By Alex T

風景很棒,如果你能爬上去的話。但是攀爬的過程非常不容易,指標不明顯,難度也頗高。如果不是平常很擅長登山或運動的人,不建議單獨前往。請記得穿適合運動的鞋子。 The view is awesome but you need to climb to the top. The instructions are not so clear and the path is difficult for the ordinary. Therefore I suggest that you should come here with a fit friend. Remember wear a comfortable sneakers.

It is a credit to the owners to build the exact copy of the Stonehenge structure on a cattle farm in southern Western Australi. Amazing to walk around the stones it would been great to be there on sundown.

Hellfire Bay

Reviewed By BobWE - Manhattan Beach, CA

Set in the Le Grand National Park this wide, very white sand beach, is accessible by a short pathway connected to the large parking lot. Stunning views are available from the beach and from the prominent granite peak (Mount Le Grande) adjacent to the main beach. There are canopies available for picnicking and a break from the hot sun. Be very careful about wandering out to the edge of the rock formations that jut out to the waters edge--it is very slippery and people who slip have been swept into the ocean and drowned.

Thistle Cove

Hard to split the points between Thistle and Hellfire. Thistle requires walking down a rock (really hard to see where the correct path is) and it may be slightly more protected from the wind. Clear blue water and dramatic hills surrounding the bay and a good lookout near the car park.

Blue Haven Beach

Reviewed By BundyRed - Perth, Australia

I think this is close to the best beach in Esperance, even on a rough day.
Well sheltered from the wind , this is an excellent spot for sunbathing, swimming and even fishing.
A new walkway and stairs has recently been put in place making access very easy.
Not a lot of parking , this would be very popular on warm days.
Many excellent photo opportunities here too.
