Enid (ē'nĭd) is a city in Garfield County, Oklahoma, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 49,379, making it the ninth-largest city in Oklahoma. It is the county seat of Garfield County. Enid was founded during the opening of the Cherokee Outlet in the Land Run of 1893, and is named after Enid, a character in Alfred, Lord Tennyson's Idylls of the King. In 1991, the Oklahoma state legislature designated Enid the "purple martin capital of Oklahoma." Enid holds the nickname of "Queen Wheat City" and "Wheat Capital" of Oklahoma and the United States for its immense grain storage capacity, and has the third-largest grain storage capacity in the world.

Simpson's Old Time Museum

This was such a fun experience! Got to meet Larry and Rick Simpson, got an escorted tour of the museum, and belly laughed at their tall tales! Lots of memorabilia here, some movie sets to tour, some great photo ops! Super fun way to spend some time!!

Railroad Museum of Oklahoma

We were lucky enough to get a tour from Watermelon, the guy that started the place. He is an encyclopedia of railroad knowledge and made the tour interesting and worth the trip. They have their own rail yard full of cars and equipment that you can climb on and all over.

this museum and exhibits is extremely informational. my grandfathers made the 'run' into the Cherokee Strip in the 1890's and this museum documents that event and rlated homesteading, etc. as well as area history since.

Come play at Leonardo's Children's Museum! Bring your imaginations and explore two floors of hands on exhibits. Meet one of our cool critters in the Critter Clubhouse. Create a masterpiece in the art studio or use real hand tools in our Tinkering Area. Play outdoors at Adventure Quest with a three story castle and a pirate ship complete with a treasure chest. Stride Bank Center

The Stride Bank Center is owned by City of Enid and professionally managed by Spectra Venue Management. The Stride Bank Center is a 5,000 seat arena opened in June 2013. The Arena is home to world-class concerts, athletic events, trade shows, conventions and large banquets. The complex consists of the arena and convention space made up of multiple ballrooms to fit meetings, conferences, weddings and banquets of any size. With in house catering, it makes it easy and convenient to have everything under 1 roof.

For a smaller venue there is not a bad seat in the house. The seats are comfortable and they have brought some great acts in.
