Was free entry, english explanations of all the Exhibitions including 1800's and onwards uniforms, military history. Weaponry and more. Free access around up onto the look out posts and castle top. Is a bit of a trek up if you approach from the main road :)

La Almunya del Sur is a Moorish style farm, composed of a rustic traditional house, that gives way to the garden-orchard. This garden-orchard tries to make the most of the available natural resources. The fruit trees, mainly citrus, associated with exotic and aromatic plants, create a respectful and environmentally sustainable balance. Water, as an essential element, is present everywhere in th
My family went to visit and had a lovely time, the Gardens are beautiful and the tour was great. We could not believe the amount of work that has gone into this space. It is very tranquil and peaceful and shady during summer. It is an inspiring garden that shows you what you can achieve with lots of shade and hard work around here. Highly recommended, we also loved all the herbs and aromatic plants.

Almerimar itself is a purpose built resort with one of the biggest Marinas around, plus golf course, apartments and bars/restaurants. It never fails to amaze us that you hardly ever see anybody on the lots and lots of expensive boats that are moored here.
The marina is a good place to have a walk around, stop and have a tapas for lunch washed down with a nice cold beer. It is a place that requires you to have your own transport to get here. Worth a visit, however, we came here 10 years ago in 2007 and there are still lots and lots of properties unoccupied which is strange, I'm sensing that they have been bought as investments, but it doesn't help the ambience or atmosphere of the place, it's a bit too quite and empty, if there were more people about to make the place buzz a little, it would get a higher review rating, watch this space then!!

If you like nature, it will sure enjoy yourself.
Although we have been coming to Almerimar for twenty years, we had never visited a greenhouse. We had, on many occasions, received offers to show us around one, but had always declined, thinking that this was the last thing we felt like doing in the...MoreBeautiful words thank you very much.

He hecho 2 masajes .A mi personalmente gustó mucho y lo recomiendo.

One of the few restaurants open out of season. Very nice mixed paella though would have benefited from more meat.
