Great atmosphere, great beer. Hopshire is a must visit every time I'm in the Ithaca area!
This is a family owned microbrewery, and the owned are always happy to explain the process and different styles of beer.
It's just a really fun place to hang out!

It was zero outside so our southern family wrapped up and went skiing. Four lifts and fresh powder made it really nice and easy if you get past the cold. Short runs and even our GA crew conquered a black diamond. On Sunday when we left it warmed up to 20 and the wind stopped. I think all the locals came out. By 11 it was packed and a totally different place. They can accommodate a fair amount of people and they opened another lift.

Even though I stopped by when it was foggy and overcast, I loved it. It's a nice, quiet walk in the woods, and the leaves were still vibrant and colorful. The artwork part of the trail was entertaining, too. The only thing is, if you appreciate indoor plumbing, you may want to use other facilities before visiting. They have an indoor bathroom, but it's a "nature-friendly" type. That won't stop me from visiting again when in the area.

This book store has more books that you could ever imagine cram med into its shelves! Would be a little nicer if there was a bit more space to walk around, though. But then there wouldn't be as many books. I guess it's a trade-off. I have found a great deal of used books there that were reasonably-priced, by some of my favorite authors. I definitely recommend stopping in.

I love our local little woods walk! I wouldn't necessarily drive out of my way to hike this trail, but it's still a beautiful, short hike. Be sure to seek out the quaking aspen--a trail of trees that all share a common root system and make a beautiful sight when the wind's blowing!

Cornell's reputation and academics are without doubt. However, the campus itself is not a tourist attraction. Apart from a couple eye-catching architecture like the Law School or the Statler, the school is just a collection of administrative and educational buildings like any other colleges. Parking is also difficult to find.

My daughter planned a day trip for her nephew [ 5 ] and niece [ 4] - our grandchildren and my wife and I joined the fun.
We got to the waterpark just as it opened at 10 and were able to set up our stuff at a table with chairs. There are quite a few tables and chairs and lounges scattered about the water park but most of them seemed filled by noon. There are keyed lockers available but we didn't bring anything in of value. there are also changing rooms. We followed the kids from one thing to another. They loved the wave pool , the slides , the hot tub indoors and out and the outdoor pool and it was a nonstop adventure for them until we had them stop at 1:00 for lunch. Our daughter brought some snacks and juice boxes and got each of them a hamburger and hot dog. They are a bit pricey but the kids enjoyed that food. We went into the game room for awhile and our daughter had purchased a number of tokens for the kids to use. It was with the understanding that they could do anything they liked but when the tokens were gone , we would go back to the pool. Our granddaughter liked some rides and our grandson tried to accumulate tickets. He didn't get very many but he was pleased and he couldn't get much at the redemption counter but again he was satisfied. We went back into the waterpark area for more play and at 2 pm , called it quits. There was no complaining at all. We changed , got into the car and before we had backed out of the space, our granddaughter was asleep and snoring all the way home to Syracuse.
It might be less exciting for older children but I have to compliment to life guarding staff. they are a huge presence and are constantly in motion checking for safety issues.

The house is so hot and muggy. Not handicap accessible. Too many offices and not enough museum rooms.

wow, what an amazingly easy waterfall view. my wife and I drove around the beautifull campus area only to discover this beautiful waterfall and gorge from the bridge. easy , short hike to this refreshing testimonial to nature's creativity.

If you visit Ithaca and/or Cornell University, spare an hour to walk the Cascadilla Trail. It is located on Cornell campus. The trail will take you through beautiful gorge and connect you to other nature trail on and near the campus. A beautiful trail with beautiful scenery around campus. Two small waterfalls provide great feeling for the walk. Don't miss it. It is an easy walk.
