The Sugar Marsh Cottage is a must if in or passing by Darien! We had planned to stop by on our roadtrip and learned they were closed for labor day, but Dale, the owner, came in and opened for us anyway. She was the definition of Southern charm and hospitality. The house is beautiful and the shop is gorgeously decorated in a coastal beachy theme. The chocolates and salted caramel toffee was amazing! Dale gave us samples of almost everything. Definitely recommend!

Georgia Peach World

Reviewed By MaiDragon - Neptune Beach, United States

Traveling up to Hilton Head and decided to stop on a whim and so glad we did. Didn’t look like much from the outside but once you go in, your hooked. Very clean inside. Girls were super friendly and very accommodating. They have all kinds of samples out to try. Even some cool rides for the kiddos. We ended up getting the peach salsa (delicious) peach bread (so moist) peach ice cream (peachy and creamy, soft serve) and the peach smoothie (so good, I got one to go). What a hidden gem! Who knew! We stopped back by on way home. They have 3 locations. Very impressed.

Reviewed By richthomasleo - Ashburn, United States

This site is a very cool thing to go experience if you have the time to go. if you have a few hours to kill off and you love history, please stop in this Historic Fort and see what it has to offer. It's a cool place which backs to the river. The depictions of how the Fort looked are incredible and gives you a sense of how it really was. The tour inside is self guided and very informative. It will take you on a great journey through history and the way it was. the nature trail is fun and informative as well. It is a National Park so a fee is included to see it all but it's so worth it.

Sapelo Island Visitors Center

Reviewed By JRT07 - Blacksburg, United States

Sapelo Island is truly a one of a kind place and the Visitor's Center put one in the frame of mind to truly enjoy the island if you are fortunate enough to visit it or simply learn about the island's history which is amazing. We Airbnb'd on the Island and used the Visitor's Center to familiarize ourselves with the history of the island and what to expect. Two books will take you back in time to the Island's unique history: "Goin' D'Iland" by Mike Sellers and "God, Dr. Buzzard & the Bolito Man" by Cornelia Walker Bailey are must reads and both available at the Visitor's Center. If you're fortunate enough to go to the Island don't pass up the chance and be prepared to immerse yourself in a time long past.
