We enjoyed Pinel Island and the service from Caribbean Paddling that we made a return visit while on a cruise in July. They have expanded a bit since our 1st visit and we went with a SUP this time instead of a kayak. Same great service and very efficient.

Scuba Zen

I had a refresher course and two dives scheduled during my visit to St. Martin. The refresher course was with Olivia and she did a great job going over everything again so I felt comfortable. I was a bit nervous after having not dived in a few years. We had a great refresher course followed by a fun, easy dive. They were very accommodating and allowed my husband to come snorkeling while I did my refresher. Sadly, I came down with a cold the day before I was scheduled to do my two dives so I had to cancel them. But if I went back to St Martin, I'd dive with this company. They are very safety minded and all the staff we met were friendly.

The Butterfly Farm (La Ferme des Papillons)

PLEASE NOTE!!! THE BUTTERFLY FARM IN ST MARTIN IS CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO HURRICANE IRMA!! At the Butterfly Farm you will be escorted by your guide who will lead you through a specially created exhibition area of landscaped Gardens. This is the butterflies own lush tropical garden playground! Here you will see hundreds of rare and exotic butterflies fluttering freely around you. The guide will identify different species, point out courtship and mating displays and tell butterfly facts and stories. You can also witness the various stages of the butterfly's life cycle, from butterflies laying their eggs to caterpillars hatching, growing and forming their chrysalis. Ask your guide how to handle the butterflies and caterpillars if you dare! The tour lasts around 15 minutes and you are welcome to stay as long as you like at leisure in the Gardens. There is also an extensive selection of butterfly gifts and souvenirs in the shop, or drinks available in the shady cafe.

We had a wonderful time exploring the Gardens and the butterflies. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful variety of butterfly species and also appreciated all the work that went in to having so many medicinal herbs in the garden, each with its own label mentioning the use for the herbs. Hopefully the butterflies were protected from the hurricane damage although I imagine the garden will take a long time to recover.
My best wishes to the owners at they attempt to restore this facility. It is a special place that will be missed.

We just completed our cruise and had a great day on the water with this first class operator. Like everyone else, they have been deeply affected by the hurricane, and lost one of their boats.
Our charming, skilled female captain told us that the seas would be rough when our small group of 5 arrived, but we all wanted to go. Kudos to them for their honesty and giving us the option for a refund.
In any event, we are very glad we went. We got a great view of this magnificent island. The snorkeling was only fair, because the seas were rough, but on the other hand, we had a thrilling boat ride. Our captain did a great job of handling our boat and it was a wonderful day.
Can’t say enough good things about this boat tour. You will be pleased you went snorkeling and power boating with Captain Alan.

Discovering Scoobi Too (new boat!) was the find of the century!
From the very first conversation with Stefan (the owner) who gave us helpful suggestions, we were hooked!
Once on board we were treated like royalty by the most amazing crew I've ever had the pleasure to sail with. Jordan, the captain, and his two assistants, Melanie and Marion, were a delight from the minute we stepped on board.
The crew makes the experience and when you add the gorgeous Anguilla beach, you've got a winning combination.
I can't stress enough how absolutely fantastic our day trip to Anguilla was. (8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) It's a full day of fun in the sun.
Don't miss this trip on the Scoobi Too.

We drove here to check it out, we are staying In Simpson Bay.
Thought we might snorkel but too much sea-weed and a bit to ruff of a surf.
We sat and ate our lunch In our car and looked at the water view.
Only a few other cars we saw.
Not a person In the water.
There is a restaurant and Bar near where we parked.
Along with Beach chairs.
We didn't stay long enough to check those out as we have seen and been to better Beaches here in St. Maarten.
This is right near the Butterfly excursion.
