I didn't come to Romania for a few years and I was surprised to find that in the harbor there are literally dozens of cafés and restaurants suitable for all the tastes and all age groups, I absolutely recommend to come here for a walk and breakfast/lunch/dinner! Perfect spot for families and couples and you literally have all the food choice you could ever want! There's a paid parking spot if you come late and don't find one of the free ones!

The Mosque of Constanta - Minaret

A landmark of the Turkish role in the region, The Mosque of Constanta was built in 1910. It features a 50 meter high (160 ft.) lookout with spectacular views of the surrounding area including the Black Sea.

Reviewed By vladzachy - Oradea

The old Mosque was build by king Carol I who made a gift for the local Muslim minority. It's a nice place to visit or i would say a must see in Constanta. You can get on the top of it in the minaret and have a panoramic view over the old city and the black sea

The building is stunning, but sadly it is slowly falling apart. Very interesting pieces, including some mammoth teeth and tusk, the snake Glykon, a funerary chamber. Very cool communist era display on the second floor. Entrance is free for children.

Saints Paul and Peter Cathedral

Orthodox Cathedral built in 1883-1885 by the designs of the architect Ion Mincu.

Reviewed By YTCHENG - Hong Kong, China

The Cathedral was a nicely built in 1884 but had seriously been destroyed during WWII. Restorations started in late nineties and still appeared to be pleasant when viewed inside the Cathedral. Worth to visit this Orthodox Cathedral when you happen to visit Constanta.

Constanta Casino

Jusy an overrated site. I think it's not worth a visit even after renovation (if that will happen in the future). There are two (abandoned?) buildings very close (I think one of them is/ was a hotel) which are far better (but in the same condition as the casino unfortunately)

Mamaia Beach

Reviewed By MarinaAagaard - Aarhus, Denmark

A very nice, very wide beach. At time of visit, after the sunny season, though, a somewhat bleak look of decay on buildings close by and litter on the beach. Still a great place for a off-season walk - and may be great in summer.

Ovidiu Square

A huge main square between the town and sea. Here you will find the museum, restaurants a few shops and mosques/churches.
Whilst it is good to have a main square I find nothing fascinating about this one, there are no spectacular sights and it can be littered.

Decided to visit the Delfinariu after many years of break, and I found it totally changed in good. Besides the dolphins show, there are other activities available, like a small but nice zoo, horse ridding and ridding school, Planetarium, dino world etc. Perfect to go with children, very good to spend few relaxing hours for adults. The complex looks to be good maintained and clean. Affordable prices.

St. Mina Orthodox Church

Reviewed By Szerendipity - Tirgu Mures, Romania

It is an outstanding architectural element in the vicinity of a large park and a very modern-day mall. It brings a breath of fresh air in the crowded streets of Constanta. Traditionally built Romanian church which has to be visited if you want to get acquainted with the local heritage and religious culture.
