Černošice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈtʃɛrnoʃɪtsɛ]) is a town in Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic. The town is part of the Prague metropolitan area. It is located 5 kilometres (3 miles) southwest of Prague, it lies on the Berounka River. The present-day town is made up of three parts: Horní Černosice, Dolní Mokropsy and Vráž.

Short and informative bus ride, air conditioned! St. Vitus Cathedral was breath taking. So many things to take in. Prague Castle was an amazing view into history and learning about medieval life and history. Loved it! Sometimes hard to hear the guide but she had tons of great information.

My partner and I visited Karlštejn castle during our Christmas stay in Prague. It was a nice half day trip. It is very easy to go there by direct train from Prague (it takes 40 minutes).
We bought a tour "Historical Interiors of the Emperor’s Palace and the Mariánská Tower" in English. Admission was 330,- CZK per person. The interiors were not so rich furnished as in other Czech Castles. But the castle was really monumental and it worth visiting. Takeing pictures without flash is allowed and it is free.
There were a lot of restaurants and shops in town Karlštejn. Most of them were open even through Christmas holiday.

Before going there...get informed! It is really amazing place. And not just one, there is at least 3 quarries (open-pit mines): Velka Amerika, means Big America, then Mexiko, means Mexico and finally Mala Amerika, means Small America. All of them fantastic, in the forest, great nature. The "only" problem is they are closed and not accesible, just now it is a private property, so be careful. If you enter and they catch you, you will be fired and probably fined! And of course, to enter is not any easy, you have to climb down and there are real rocks, so it is potentially very dangerous. But even so it is worth of visit, i think. I did so and i was not disappointed. Just be really careful.

The most significant square of historical Prague, it was founded in the 12th century and has been witness to many historical events. In addition to the Old Town Hall and the Church of Our Lady before Týn, the square is dominated by the Baroque Church of St Nicholas, the Rococo Kinský Palace, the Gothic House at the Stone Bell and the monument to Jan Hus. In the pavement of the square are memorial stones marking the execution of 27 Czech lords in 1621, and the Prague meridian.

Spent the afternoon in the square going to a couple of places including the churches at each end. Beautiful churches and worth a look even if you are not religious. People were getting ready for the Easter celebrations and there were people from lots of other countries visiting at the time we were there. Everyone was friendly even though the square was very busy at the time. Lots of little winding streets off the square equally worth visiting. Plenty of places to eat though they were a bit dear and I don't like the 'suggested tip value'. If you deserve it you will get a tip is my philosophy.

We went there with daughter and we like it very much. It was fun with old captain, nice slow flow in the canyon of Berounka river, we saw also fisherman with a huge fish, he just catched. Yes, Charles Bridge is a perfectly preserved bit of Prague history. It is a wonderful walk from the city center and the a great way to spend a good part of the day strolling through the picturesque city.
So, grab some comfortable shoes, dress for the weather, run through the souvenir shop gauntlet, and enjoy this beautiful artifact.

I visited this place in early March. The queue was very long when I enter. There was security check before enter. The complex was very huge. The castle was beautiful from outside. But there was too many tourist that time so I couldn’t enjoy the visit and it was hard to take a good picture.

The Old Town Hall is one of the most significant monuments in the Czech Republic. It was established in 1338 as the administrative seat for Prague's Old Town. We had heard so much about this amazing clock so arrived early to see the dance of the vices! What do you know it was covered in canvas needing repair. We got to see the print of the clock and our guide described the mechanism and advised us to come back in August!
