It is easy to hike the paths here. There are plenty of other people and their dogs enjoying the vistas. There is a nice observatory tower and a few footpaths off the main ones. Plenty of squirrels and rabbits skitter around in the bushes. It is not overly shady, so use the sunscreen and wear a hat. There is no light on the paths at night, so plan a daytime hike.

Historic Downtown Carrollton

I've lived in the Dallas-Fort area most of my life and have somehow never seen this area of town. I know I've been close to it several times. Anyway, I was highly impressed! A nice little square with a park and gazebo in the middle and lots of shops and a few restaurants all around. Check out the Plaza Theater on one end. It's been converted for use as an event center but they still have some live shows in there as well. As I understand it, more parking is coming for that area as well.

We are golfers and this experience is great if you just want to hang out with friends and hit balls. It's very social and allows for fun interaction and competition. I'd give this place a 5-star rating because the couple of people we interacted with were very friendly. However, my husband's watch went missing from the table and we never found it. Also, you "have to" sign up as a membership (just $5) and we were told that we wouldn't get inundated with emails. But, I got 5 emails the next day. I had to unsubscribe. We'll go to another TopGolf facility in the near future, but we'll watch our belongings more closely. Also, keep tabs on what you're spending. It's easy to overspend with the drinks, golf time and food.

We went as a large group of friends for a birthday party. The entertainment is definitely what draws you here and keeps you coming back! However, it was extremely overcrowded. The waitress had to squeeze between tables and ended up spilling a beer on my shoes as well as herself. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate the large crowd as best as possible. There was a cover charge of $10/pp which wouldn't be bad if they alcohol prices weren't insane. $84 plus tip for 12 beers. You can do the math....outrageous! All over, it was a great experience, but with that kinda of income...they could afford more restrooms & a different way for customers to get in and out of their tiny space.

As DFW's highest rated escape room, Escape This offers the most fun and challenging escape room experience in Texas! Escape rooms are a fun form of interactive entertainment where you and other participants are placed in a room with various clues and puzzles. The group has 60 minutes to solve challenges in the room in order to find a way out! Escape This offers 4 compelling rooms which challenge participants in different ways. Unique to Escape This, each room experience presents a mystery that must be solved in order to escape the room. At Escape This, puzzles are not shared between rooms, and every challenge is different. While many escape rooms aim to shock and awe participants with scary rooms or lull them to sleep with rooms full of "busy work", Escape This provides a creative and intellectual experience with challenges that must be solved with logic and critical thinking, and not luck or aimless "Where's Waldo" searching. Unlike other escape rooms, challenges at Escape This can be solved in multiple ways. This means teams must think critically, work together, communicate and use strategic thinking to be successful. So if you are new to escape rooms, a seasoned enthusiast tired of escaping low level rooms in 15-20 minutes, or a business manager looking for that perfect team building event, Escape This is your place. Give us a call, or stop by to see what all of our great reviews are about. We look forward to having you!

We did the room that was not scary and has had the most success in escaping. The Epicurean room did not dissappoint! I had a group of 11-12 year old girls and we had a blast. The team working with us was so patient and very supportive! We really enjoyed our time!! I would recommend this place to anyone!

This small local museum is a good way to learn more about settlement life in the late 19th and early 20th century in northcentral TX. The owners were pioneer homesteaders who came to Carrollton in the year 1844 from Carrollton, Illinois. In 1909, their son Dewitt Perry and his wife Francis (Grimes) tore down the first house and used some of the lumber to build the present day house. This structure is now the Museum, restored in 1976. The homestead was designated a historic landmark in 1977 by the Texas Historical Commission.

Farmers Branch Historical Park

Reviewed By texasrepublichistory - Dallas, TX

We visited the Farmers Branch Historical Park on a weekday and were lucky to be the only ones there to get a personal tour. The large, beautifully-maintained park has about 12 buildings available for inside tours with the guide, covering periods from the 1840's to 1937. The buildings, from log cabins to the church, school house, gas station, depot, store, and 1930's home are furnished with period antiques or reproductions. The unique thing I noticed about this historical park was the fact that many of the exhibits included reproduction items that looked like they would have been in use during that time period, not old worn-out, dusty relics. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the buildings and the history of Farmers Branch and the surrounding area. We spent about 2 hours [with lots of questions and excellent answers] and look forward to returning. The park is free, but I suggest a donation if you take a guided tour, or even join with a membership. The park is also active with special events, including Star Parties , historical demonstrations, Vintage Baseball, and a great Fourth of July Celebration. Recommended for the whole family.
