Badgett Playhouse

Shows at the Badgett Theatre in Grand Rivers rival anything you can find in Branson or Nashville. High-caliber talent, music and performances right here in West Kentucky! The Playhouse is a 6,000-square-foot facility located on JH O'Bryan in Grand Rivers behind the Welcome Center. It features state-of-the-art sound and lighting (including moving light fixtures), and 15 exciting shows per year!

Really enjoy their first Christmas show of the season. The music was very upbeat and some comedy too. The performers were very talented and enjoyed what they were doing making it even more fun. Never got the impression that they were just going thru the steps and music just to get it over with. The ending is simply beautiful. Highly recommend.

This is a quaint little Drive-In in a quaint little town in Kentucky by the Lakes. I runs first-run double features and has a great Snack Bar with excellent prices. It is a Must go for lovers of Outdoor Movies and reminiscing of times from the past. You can use the speakers on the stand or tune-in on FM radio, we chose both to get great stereo sound. We will go again and again when we visit the Lakes

Apple Valley Hillbilly Garden and Toyland

Apple Valley Hillbilly Gardens and Toyland is a throw back to old by-gone tacky roadside stops that existed in the 1940s -1960s. There is an old Gulf gas station and store (museum) and a toyland with over 3000 toys in a working diorama. Take a walk around the eclectic junk art and Hillbilly Gardens. We are located one mile east of I24 exit 16 on HWY 68 W.

This is someone's home- the history on how this began is very interesting. The couple and children that live there are very friendly!

The cost is technically free, but they do have a donation can in the main entrance art piece.

They have collector item toys from generations ago! I must say this is a must quick stop and an experience you find elsewhere. It isn't a place you want to spend an hour for the tour in my opinion- we stayed 25 mins and took some neat pictures.

A photographer would love to visit.

Great place to spend a Saturday night. We went to Christmas show, it was awesome. Old Christmas hymns mixed with fun upbeat and classic country songs. Great entertainers and musicians. Children entertainers were so cute clogging, singing and fiddle playing. Will for sure get you...MoreWe are Sorry we did not respond to this review sooner. Maggie's Jungle Golf & Jungle Run

Reviewed By FJDriver - Essex, Vermont

Were looking for something to do on a hot summer afternoon, and chose to go to Maggie's Jungle Golf. Had a wonderful afternoon playing miniature golf. What made this a real treat was being in the cool shade on a hot day. A well-maintained facility, and one where the whole family can enjoy some time together for a very reasonable price. You won't be disappointed.

So many things to look at! Loved the mix of merchandise. Very cute store. We spent about 30 minutes there and bought a rug for the camper. They have everything from clothes and jewelry to home items and decor. I really enjoyed this place. You've got to stop in when in Grand Rivers.

Easy to find, park, and get around inside. One of the best laid out antique malls we have seen. It's very clean and organized, with spotless restrooms. The prices are reasonable. The employees are helpful and generally know the inventory of their vendors. Allow at least 90 minutes to look at all the booths if it is your first time.

Calvert City Golf & Country Club

Reviewed By Karen C

This is one of the best golf courses in the Western Kentucky or Southern Illinois area (and I've played them all). The greens are MiniVerde Dwarf Bermuda Grass greens and the fairways are lush carpet-like El Toro Zoysia grass. There are five teeing areas, several sand bunkers and lakes that come into play. Challenging to play, but "lady" friendly with the two sets of forward tees. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Definitely a course you do not want to miss if you head to the Western Kentucky area. They do not take tee times, but there is no problem getting out on the course. Rates are very reasonable.

Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center

Reviewed By stevenwK1786KS - Kansas City, Missouri

First of all, as you enter, they promise a treetop experience, and it is in no way, shape, manner, or form a treetop experience. Secondly, the zip lines are in dire need of being reconfigured in several areas. On at least 4 of their lines, there is a chance that you will not make it to the other end and may get stranded due to the lines not being taut enough. It happened to several members of my group, including myself. The staff knows this, and one staff member said that its been a problem for quite a while. I have zip lined numerous times, and when one staff member suggested it was the wind blowing the wrong direction that causes the problem, I could not hold back my laughter. The wind blowing in a certain direction will not affect a properly laid zip line. I have no idea who I would recommend do the zip lines at this facility because a beginner is not going to get an experience that will keep them wanting to zip line in the future, and an experienced zip liner will be completely bored. All in all, a very disappointing experience.
