Caboolture Historical Village

The Caboolture Historical Village is situated on 4 hectares (about 12 acres) of land just north of Caboolture town centre on the old Bruce Highway. It is listed as the Number One Tourist destination in the region. The dream of preserving our local heritage started with the formation of the Caboolture Historical Society in 1959. The first building arrived 20 years later when the old Caboolture Shire Council Chambers was moved to the site. Since that time with the contribution of many volunteers and supporters, the Village has grown to be the popular destination for tourists and locals to explore the local history.

An amazing day out with a step back in time of Caboolture's history. Preserved buildings scattered around makes a nice stroll back to how things use to be in the olden days.
Jump on the train (great for kids) and take a small trip around the village.

The earlier you get there the better. Parking spaces are getting rare later in the day and longer walks may be necessary. The market offers a waste selection of all kind of goods with some hidden gems to be found. Hours are going by when walking around, looking for some stuff and enjoying the atmosphere.

Had the pleasure of a great sightseeing flight from Caboolture (north of Brisbane) to Archerfield. The prior arrangements were well-organised with explicit directions and advice given. We were punctually met and a comprehensive but easily understood safety briefing given. The pilot went out of his way to make us comfortable and provided an enjoyable, inclusive commentary visiting points of interest along the way. It was overall well-organized and definitely worth what I paid. I would definitely highly recommend Oceanview Helicopters for anyone seeking a tailormade unique experience. A pleasure to do business with.

Skydive Bribie Island

Reviewed By Galvo1 - Brisbane

this was bought for me as a birthday present. We had a beautiful cloudless day and from the moment I checked in, I was well looked after by friendly, caring staff.
The flight itself was fantastic - the views of Bribie and the Mainland were spectacular.
The safety briefing and instructions were easy to follow.
When we jumped from 14000 ft we had about 50 seconds of freefall - unreal and full-on. The noise, the wind slapping your face, the adrenalin made it an intense time. Then when the shute opened we came to a quick but gradual slow down. Then it was goggles off and playing with the control straps.
we floated around on air currents and eventually made a graceful landing on the beach.
I expected a stomach-lurching feeling like on a roller coaster, but there is none of that. Just a sensation of freedom and feeling like you are an eagle.
Highly recommended. Less scary than a roller-coaster.

I've never flown in a glider before so this was a great opportunity for a 70th birthday present. The experience was exhilarating and taking over the joystick was an absolute buzz. Mike the pilot was extremely informative about the landscape over Caboolture and was very responsive to all my non-stop questions regarding the controls and thermal winds. I highly recommend the glider flight.
