Ooh la Lollipop

We are a unique shop specializing in international sweets. Located in the heart of the south west.

Reviewed By michaelv976 - Perth, Australia

Ducked in here after breakfast at the adjoining Barking Cow Café to bring some treats back for the kids. I was literally the big kid in the candy store. Between my wife and I we went crazy throwing all and sundry into the baskets - strategically handed to us by the storeowner after seeing how easily we caved to the pressure of packaging.
So many old favourites. My wife, from Toronto, saw items she had not seen for years and the tears welled in her eyes - or perhaps it was knowing what the bill would come to.
I deliberately told the cashier not to tell me the final amount. To cover the amount and not to give me a receipt. I did not need to know how stupid I went. On a separate note I received a call from the bank asking me to refinance the house.
If you love your sweets, pop your head in and enjoy.

Wag Walters Emporium

Reviewed By Elizabeth K

In the grounds of Ford House are the ten or so stalls of this extraordinary emporium.
All wares for sale are of excellent quality and innovative in design. So colourful!
I hate rubbishy stuff. None here.
Prices are reasonable.
At Wag Walters I have bought blue and white striped Corning ware never seen elsewhere, costume jewellery- a huge display.
My favourite purchase is of two pottery birds, shiny deep red, fired in a kiln which sit on a patio table now attracting wild doves to my birdbath.
Aprons of generous size, tablecloths, napery pot holders as well as three rooms separate to main building of sheets, towels and dining ware
await customers.
I've never seen anything to rival Wag Walters and I've travelled extensively.
Don't miss this shopping experience.
High quality , reasonable prices and free gift wrapping on request.

Well worth a visit to this small winery. Very good wines, especially the port. Makes a pleasant change to be able to speak the the winemaker in person

We love to visit Dennis & Evol at Levanda Grove. Their olive oil grown & produced on site at their small farm property is award winning & truly special - it makes all dishes special (from salads to roast potatoes) . Seeing the friendly alpacas was a highlight of our trip. Beautiful alpaca crafts hand spun by Evol. Truly a special place in beautiful Bridgetown.

We enjoyed a very friendly welcome and were cheerfully provided with a free map of the Bridgetown area. Personnel appeared to know a lot about the attraction we were seeking, but actually marked out a much, much longer more arduous route, on corrugated gravel roads, than was necessary.
Our hosts, on arrival, seemed surprised that we were so misdirected. On return to Bridgetown we took the shorter, far more comfortable road back. From a positive perspective, we did get to see more of the countryside!~

This store is on the main road , same side and not far from IGA supermarket.
They have beautiful Christmas decorations and it's ornaments that are different not like what you see in department stores.
It's great too that they open throughout the whole year.
At the back of the shop is a small toy store , which young children will love.

Little Hill Farm Bridegtown

We are a working farm so please make a booking in advance to visit. FOOD ACCOMMODATION EVENTS... FARM TOUR, SCONE DEMONSTRATION AND JAM TASTING EXPERIENCE In Bridgetown and looking for something interesting and fun to see and do? Then come to Little Hill Farm and enjoy our morning or afternoon Farm Tour Experience. Held most Saturdays throughout the year and some public holidays at 10.30 AM and 2.30 PM, it is an ideal way to spend an hour or so enjoying some rural hospitality. Book a scone making workshop with Antonio, where he will pass on the secrets for making the perfect scone, then head off with Adam (and Chase) on a tour of the farm to see what we grow and learn a little about our rural lifestyle and the changing seasons before returning to the farmhouse to enjoy tea/coffee, warm scones and an assortment of our delicious Little Hill Farms jams.

Antonio and Adam excelled themselves putting on two Food Appreciation classes last week. The first was on cherries and their multiple uses (ever tried roasting cherries with rosemary? It was sublimely moorish). The second class was about apricots and again, their multiple uses both sweet and savoury. To say Tony can cook is a major understatement and I can't wait for the next class or food opportunity from Little Hill Farm

Brierley Jigsaw Gallery

Reviewed By RachelGreenTravel - Australia

They have placed together a large collection of jigsaws, many from times past, and many from the UK and Europe, and hung each one up on display. (There are very few Australian pictures, as Aussies aren't into jigsaws as much.) Some of the jigsaws are as big as 9000 pieces, some incredibly difficult and some small and easy. They are all together in one room and it is only a gold coin donation to get in. It is at the back of the Visitors Centre in the main street. It won't take long to look around so just leave about an hour. You can also do a jigsaw if you want. We really enjoyed it and we don't do jigsaws!

Sew Gentle Era

A Patchwork and Quilting store with an inspiring array of fabric along with a wide range of yarns, threads and haberdashery. Classes and workshops in quiltmaking, knitting, crochet, rug making, bag making and embroidery are held regularly.

Reviewed By Lani C

Every where I look in this shop, I find something I love - from the fabrics, to the yarn or to the bits and boobs available.
It is so much nicer to walk into this shop and see some amazing patterns and colours rather than a chain store that is very stock standard.
