Tomorrowland Belgium

Tickets sell out almost instantaneously for Tomorrowland, thanks to its reputation as one of the world’s biggest celebrations of electronic music, playing host to Performances from techno to house, dance to trance. Now in its 11th year and notorious for its 15 wackily decorated stages and hypnotic lightshows, the festival is held in Boom, near Antwerp, and attracts a laid-back crowds of tens of thousands.

We travelled from California to attend. We got our tickets through global journey. The production is insane! Best set ever. We met and danced along with people from all over the World. We will definitely be back again. Be prepared to walk an hour after partying to the shuttles. We opted to cab out of there Saturday and was a nightmare. Brussels only has 1,000 cabs so not nearly enough to go around. Be prepared to walk one hour to get to the shuttle.

Fort Breendonk

A self-guided audio tour takes you into the rich (albeit somewhat eerie) history of Fort Breendonk. We were amazed at all that it had to offer and the incredible things that took place here. I highly recommend this to anyone regardless of your historical knowledge or inklings.
You will want to bring snacks with you as it takes a while to go through and there isn't much nearby apart from a very fancy restaurant (not where you'll want to go after this)

Duvel Moortgat Brewery

The Duvel Moortgat brewery was founded in 1871. A specialized, beer-passionate guide will tell you the story of innovative brewing with respect for family tradition and quality in a 2-hour tour, including a tasting and the typical pouring ritual for Duvel. Cheers!

Reviewed By braumeister - Cincinnati, Ohio

Duvel-Moortgat is a brewing company that totally has their act together.
Aside from the fact that Duvel is one of the most incredible beers in the world, they really understand things from the consumer side as well.
If you have the opportunity to visit, by all means take advantage of it. The side benefit is that you'll have the opportunity to try some truly interesting beers of the experimental variety while you're there.

Regular tours are being organised here (on Sundays, every hour). Tours are possible with a guide, who mainly explains about the history of the place. The actual 'brewing' takes place elsewhere (Anker brewery in the centre of nearby Mechelen), so the only activity here consists of distilling the whisky, after which the distilled products is returned to Mechelen for storage. After the tour, a drink is offered (and the glass as well).

Recently we enjoyed a fabulous beer and brewery tour in Belgium arranged by Steven and Wings Transport. During our tour, we visited a Trappist Monastery, a local pub and Liefman’s Brewery. All three locations allowed us to taste test many different kinds of beer and provided unique and interesting environments in which to enjoy them. Steven picked us up right at our hotel and was a delightful host for the entire time we were with him. We highly recommend this tour!

d'Ursel Castle

The stately home at Hingene was the 'maison de plaisance' of the aristocratic d'Ursel family for almost four centuries. Now, it belongs to the Province of Antwerp who has restored the castle to its former glory with passio and brings new life to the house and park.

Reviewed By MechelenWalter - Mechelen

d'Ursel castle in the charming little village of Hingene, was the summer residence of the very wealthy, noble family d'Ursel. A few years ago it became public property open for visitors. We just admired a marvellous exhibition 'Sweet 18' with 50 works of art of modern artists inspired by the 18th century including a sexy movie featuring Madonna. This exhibition is probably closed by the time you read this review but I would recommand a visit of the castle and it's marvellous grounds, any time.
