I booked this trip for my wife's anniversary not knowing if this is was a good idea. Having read the reviews, I thought it was something different and the experience would be something to remember.
We certainly wasn't disappointed, right from the start Piotr made us feel special even though we arrived 10mins late. It was clear that the trip was all about us and Piotr explained everything about the kayak and the techniques that would help us along the river Tay.
He was very knowledgeable of the area and its surroundings, we even got a bit of a history lesson too! Piotr was a fantastic host, my wife and I had a fabulous time and what a way to start our wedding anniversary!
Thank you Piotr for shown us the hidden gem that is locked away within the heart of Perth, it was great to see the Beavers swimming beside us and meet someone that is very passionate in what he does!
Would totally recommend this trip and I'll definitely use Outdoor Explore again in the future!

My mother, dog and I walked the Cateran Trail and had a fantastic time. The trail had spectacular views, was extremely well sign-posted throughout, and was moderately challenging but always still enjoyable. Favourite bit: Enochdu to Spittal of Glenshee. FInding accommodation is tricky though (particularly in Glenshee).

I have played all 3 courses at Blairgowrie and would recommend each. However Rosemount Course is commonly regarded as the prime option. The course winds its way through trees, and heather which separates the golfer from other flights. It is a "running course" with fine grasses more akin to a links than what is conventional on a park land course. The holes are well designed with much variety and can be recalled after one's visit . At the time of writing some work was being undertaken on green, but undoubtedly shortly the putting surface will be restored to tip-top condition.
Clubhouse facilities are excellent and there is a well stocked pro's shop. Eating as part of a large group after a match we had a good choice from the menu for starters mains and desserts. There were many compliments and I would concur with the comments saying it was one of the best meals served in a golf club. Time had clearly been spent training staff as service was correct, attentive and efficient. I make this review from the perspective of a retired golf Club general manager

I went in to collect some leaflets and buy a couple of gifts. The woman behind the counter was really friendly and as I was looking round I could hear her giving a couple some advice about things in the area and further afield. She even showed the the weather forecast to help them make their minds up. She was very knowledgeable not only about Blairgowrie but the whole region.

Played Strathmore on saturday past with 15 of my colleagues from Arbroath Artisans, have to say course was in tremendous condition considering the deluge we had in the past week.Greens were in superb condition,true and fast.
A credit to the greenkeeping staff.Very impressed i will definitely return soon.
Well done.

Returned for a second visit to Bobs hide, this time my husband was going up the hills with him as part of his birthday and i remained in the hide. Bob accommodated our request with no issues , always happy to help you. From my point of view the hide was a bit quieter than last visit but this was to be expected due to the time of the year ( no youngsters) and the wind, but once it got going it was busy enough to keep me occupied all day. with jays woodpeckers tree creepers red squirrels, meanwhile my Hubby was up the hills with Mountain hare, hen harriers, merlins. red grouse and black grouse to name but a few. And then the highlight into the evening the pine marten made an appearance, Bob sets up lightins that are not going to put the animal lff but afford you the chance to still get great shots. fabulous. just fabulous.
I think i can safely say we will most certainly be back. cant wait!

Such a good place. The vicar might be there, Charlie will definitely be there, and if you have questions about field hockey (the Olympics were on when we were there) or the excellent beers they have, they are happy to discuss both.
This is a fun and friendly pub and not a "get out you don't belong here" pub.

Last night, Friday, at the invitation of my sister-in-law and her partner, my wife and I found ourselves in The Alyth Golf Club building, wherein they were hosting an experimental 'Italian Night'... to boost footfall and revenue, I would imagine.
The event was slightly under-priced for its promise, thus became fully-if-not-over subscribed. Though tentively O.K., the aforesaid 'promise' was not really performed. The meal was, being kind, mediocre, though eminently edible ... and the service was unfortunately dismal, mainly as no one had thought of trying to stagger the arrival times of such a big number of hungry guests. The car park and building itself, it must be said, were ample and impressive. The people were friendly, apologetic, and, in fairness, doing their level best to rectify a badly planned occasion. Had it not been for the nice company, our first excursion into this place might have, but will not, put us off returning there.
Management, Must Do Better Next Time.

Courses include greenwood working, wood carving, chainsaw use, compose crafts, woodland management & bushcraft.

Attended this on 14 February. Very good fun indeed, and an opportunity to use traditional tools such as a froe, adze, shavehorse and drawknife. Centre itself is in a lovely setting, and was particularly pretty on this bright, sunny day, with a covering of snow on the ground.

I visited Pitcrocknie Restaurant/Cafe for a full cooked breakfast. The breakfast consisted of black pudding, two sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms and two fried eggs. It was hot and delicious and all served by a polite and friendly staff. I recommend the Pitcrocknie to all old and new customers.
