By far the best horseback riding I've ever done. The guides have unbelievable stories, are absolutely hilarious characters, and provide non-stop entertainment throughout the ride. The horses are beautiful and it's by far the best way to experience the Aspen area. Highly recommended to anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors.

Located at 150 Main Street in Carbondale's creative district, Marble Distilling Co. & The Distillery Inn is a family & friends owned & operated craft spirits distillery. The only distiller in the world to use the world-famous marble stone as a filtering agent, MDC currently offers four spirits - Marble Vodka, Moonlight EXpresso, Gingercello & Gingercello Reserve (and whiskies/bourbon currently aging for future release). Selling craft spirits by the taste, by the cocktail and by the bottle, MDC's tasting room is currently open daily at noon. My husband and I stopped by this distillery by chance, attracted by the large martini glass sign over its door...and the co-owner, Connie Baker, happened to be out in front. The bar was not open, but she welcomed us in warmly, and offered us a tasting of their four spirits. What a charming and wonderful experience. We loved hearing about their sustainable distilling process, and loved the spirits. (Bought two bottles!) And we loved Connie, too. What an enthusiastic spokeswoman for Carbondale and several other Colorado locations.

Carbondale was recommended to us by a man who works at Four Mountains, and we're so glad we went there. Great hike across 82, too.

Frying Pan Anglers

Reviewed By Clarke S

Been a customer of Frying Pan Anglers for over ten years. I have used their guide services, fly shop and accommodations at Taylor Creek.
"A-One" operation on all levels.
Fly shop is in great location. Great staff and wonderful selection of flies and equipment. Love the staff! Marty, Jordan, Dillon, et al, are experienced and provide great advice and counsel on type of flies, what to fish, when to fish it and where the fishing is best.
Have waded and floated with guides from the shop. Sent my son out with Jordan this past August. My son is 14. He caught fish, had a great time and learned some important basics. It was evident in his casting the very next day. Jordan is fantastic with young kids.
Have floated The Fork and Colorado (depending on conditions) with FPA guides. All are outstanding. They know where the fish are and what to tie on. Lunch is always good and we a get into the fish!
Love the accommodations at Taylor Creek. Robyn Lawry is a true gem. They have cabins and a big house. Have stayed in both and find them to be clean, aptly equipped and most importantly, they provide access to a stretch of private water on The Pan. Robyn is great to work with and one of the reasons I keep coming back.
I am a native of Colorado. Have fished all over the state. The Frying Pan tailwater is my home water with access to two big freestones (Fork and Colorado). I don't fish without a visit to Frying Pan Anglers. They are professional and helpful. I recommend without reservation!

Woody Creek Distillery

Reviewed By David G - Tucson, Arizona

We were most fortunate to have a marvelous tour with chief distiller David Matthews (a very knowledgeable chap) on a glorious afternoon in the Aspen area. The customer service from all the staff was great. They truly have a talented crew of mixologists. My favorite was the Rye whiskey, but we ended up leaving with Return to Real Vodka. Will definitely look for this brand back in Tucson.

Gone Fishing Colorado

Guided Fly Fishing Tours. Float Fishing Trips and Wade Fishing Trips.

Reviewed By Regina W - Madera, California

I can highly recommend Colorado for fly fishing. Especially in fall, the colors are out of this world... Raphael was our guide and he wasn't only knowledgeable, helpful and kind, we had a ton of fun! I liked most that he did all the "icky" handling of bait and fish... No one fell in the water, so that made it a good day. When my husband caught the biggest fish, that made it a GREAT day! We will certainly come back and do this again....
