Teatro Municipal de Bahia Blanca

This theatre is without doubt one of the main landmarks of Bahia Blanca. There is a small plaza around it with lots of people, and many stores nearby. This is about 3 blocks away from Plaza Rivadavia and it could be part of a good walk throughout the Bahia Blanca downtown area.

Avenida Alem

Plenty of restaurants, and the best ice cream that I found anywhere. I had as appetizer ice cream at shop and almost 2 hours later dinner with ice cream at a second shop.
The avenue has a really interesting mix of architecture, sometimes very modern, while other structure are much more local but difficult to define for me.
Very safe place for walking. The walk from downtown Bahia Blanca to the Universidad del Sur is about 1.5 miles but very entertaining.

Museo De La Aviacion Naval

Went with some friends to this museum since we were all in Bahia Blanca for a party and we had some time to kill. The plan was to go for a quick view during the weekend, when, supposedly, it was open.
When we arrived inside of the Navy Airport Base, in the other side of the airport, we realize that the museum was close. Ironically, the reason was the "lack of water service" for the bathrooms apparently. Still, they allow us to see the outside grounds of the museum where most of the planes and heli's are.
There are 6 or 7 planes and a couple of heli's to see plus some ground defenses and a practice aircraft carrier runway. Nothing its very well maintain but its interesting to see the remains of the past. Still, a very good option in Bahia.
