I’ll strongly recommend Madagascar Tropic Voyage for your trip around Madagascar! I was very lucky having both the kind-hearted and professional Lanto as a guide for a small part of the trip, and then I had his kind and caring brother Faly for the rest of the time, and furthermore I had two very competent and fun drivers, Pascal and Thierry. These people have all made my trip around Madagascar quite perfect!
I had the pleasure to spend 24 fantastic days in Madagascar. I loved the trip that Lanto had planned for me (from Tana-Fort Dauphin). He will do almost everything to please his clients, and thank you for all you have done for me!
I would never have been going to the South of Madagascar if it was not for Lanto – This was a huge experience for me since only few tourists go that far, and both the people and the landscape is very different from the West coast.
Lanto and his great employees truly deserve the five stars!

Lac Tritriva is a beautiful place to hike and look at a historic lake volcano. The trail goes around the lake and there is an area where your right off the water. All around beautiful place. We bring all our visitors here. The sellers are quite persistent. If you give them the impression that you will buy their rocks before the hike they will follow you all the way around the Lake and it will be a not so enjoyable experience. Adult admission is 5000 ariary and children are free. You do not need to pay for a tour guide unless you really feel you need one.

Namiouh Dago tour

Reviewed By oliv07 - Geneva

Antsirabe Cathedral

Very nice, big European looking Cathedral. We actually were a bit disappointing, as we expected it to be more exotic, at least in interior design. However, we have been there on Sunday and it was great to see all people dressed up and children in their best clothes playing outside.

Lac Andraikiba

Briefly visited this lake on the way to Lac Tritriva, a superb crater lake and a better lake to visit.
This lake is more for the locals out for the day from Antsirabe and is pleasant enough but not really worth the time of you can go on to Lake Tritriva.

This cottage industry is well worth a visit, and we enjoyed the presentation very much.
They demonstrate how they prepare zebu horn from the raw meat rial through to finished products including spoons and other implements.
It is a simple process but very interesting to see, and naturally there is a shop where you can purchase their product.
Well worth a short visit, and is located right next door to the miniatures factory.

I loved spending some time looking at the tribes monument. It gives a vast history of Malagasy culture at a glance. You look upon this landmark and realize just how spectacular and diverse Malagasy culture is. The landmark offers a deeper understanding of the people who inhabit this incredible country.

We did a trip with with Christian.
As a guide he organized the whole trip perfectly with nearly no inconveniences (just 1 little car breakdown, fixed within 2 hours).
Christians can tell you (in french or english) a lot about Madagascars history, architecture, agriculture, actual culture and way of living.
He has a heart of gold and will make everything for you to feel comfortable.
He is always on time, and very reliable.
The accomodations he chooses are all comfortable (room with bathroom).
We had a great time in Madagascar.
All things considered, Christian is THE guide to visit Madagascar!
