A modern replacement for the Catedral destroyed in the 1949 earthquake. The tall panels of modern stained glass in the side walls of the Catedral are marvelous. Be sure to have helado de mora (blackberry ice cream) from the vendor on the Catedral corner. It's really, really good!

Parque Provincial de la Familia

Reviewed By Salomé C

I was travelling from Ambato to Quisapincha because I had been recommended that there were stored selling crafts and original leather products. But over the way of the trip I saw this park so I decided to stop.
It's an enormously cozy and authentic park of Ambato, with natural viewers toward the city and nearby plantations, it's climate was fresh and cold, I'm from coast zone so it affected me very much. Apart from the beautiful forest I could observe families in meetings, sports courts, roasting food in other words a free and very clean park. I didn't see any thing dangerous, it's quiet, ideal to rest for the beauty of the landscape. All this is combined to give the tourist the opportunity to get away from the problems of the city, to relax in this charming place and to go for a walk on their trails, exactly what I did.

Fantástica para cenar en la terraza oyendo el mar. Tapas muy buenas de atún , como los dados con kikos, y buen arroz negro. El fallo es que tardan un poquitín, ya se sabe, en verano...
