We enjoyed the caverns and so did our teens. Very cool! One piece of advice to the owners...and anyone visiting. We did not notice a sign warning the elderly of the number of stairs you are required to climb down and back up to access the cavern...and all of the stairs that continue down into the caverns. An elderly couple (maybe in their late 60’s/early 70’s) in our group struggled and had to stay behind. She was winded and holding her chest after we had made it down into the cavern about halfway. She had struggled to make it that far. Our guide left her on a bench with her husband while our group finished our tour. My husband offered to go back up and get her help. The tour guide didn’t want to worry the group and wanted everyone, except for that couple, to continue on. We worried about her the rest of the day...wondering how she would ever make it up the remainder of the caverns and the steep steps. If you do not have a sign warning, particularly, the elderly or those in poor health, perhaps now would be a good time to add one. Those selling tickets at the counter should also warn possible customers. Our family enjoyed the caverns and the tour...however, we spent the rest of the day and evening worrying about that couple left behind on the bench.

We moved to East Tennessee 7 years ago and started going out to Rocky Branch several years ago. It truly is sacred in that, no frills, no fluff, just pure, raw mountain bluegrass from the area residents. Not only are they talented, but it is obvious they love and desire to pass on the rich heritage of this beautiful place. I call Rocky Branch a "nugget".

We have season tickets at the Fabulous Fox Theater in Atlanta, GA. So we have a good Theater for comparison. I wasn’t sure what to expect at the Tennessee Theater but I was amazed how beautifully is. What a gem in Knoxville! Amazing Art Deco , crystal chandeliers you like to take home and a wonderful intimate theater with about 1,400+ seats. No bad seat in the house!
Tip: there is a parking lot on Church street for convenient parking.

I play at this course often with my dad. We always enjoy it. The course is in good shape, reasonably easy to play and they have a great twilight rate.

This cute little farm and vineyard specializes in muscadine wines which are generally sweet, almost like a dessert wine. They actually make their wines from two different vineyards, so similar styles will sometimes have radically different tastes and profiles, which allows them to have 12 or 13 different types of wine for the tasting, which is a great deal. The owner allowed us to look around the farm, too, meeting Vinny and some other cows who are extremely cute! An added bonus is all the lovely photography that the owner's daughter takes of the farm, the animals, and the vineyard, really adding to the experience.

The Station's a restored 120 yr old listening room venue for live music. Every seat's better than a backstage pass at a typical large venue. To assure seating we recommend you RSVP to [email protected] or text/call 865-250-8272. Cover is $15-$20 cash only at door. A smoke master smokes pork BBQ day of show. We don't sell BBQ just ask you to tip smoke master. It's BYOB or drink of choice.

Great musical evenings in comfortable historic building at a reasonable price. They don't serve food or drinks but opportunity for preconcert potluck. Well known regional performers some of whom are grammy winners. There isn't a bad seat in the house- you will be up close and personal with the locals and the performers.

The most beautiful place on earth. Cades Cove has been a family tradition for many years. My parents took me starting when I was little, then when my two oldest boys were little, we drove the loop every other weekend. The weeks we didn't, we camped at the campground there. We moved away when the youngest was in kindergarten. But go back every time we can.

I visited Bluetick Brewery with my husband and some friends. I guess I wasn't sure what to expect. The place is like an old garage or storage place. It is kind of cool. People bring their dogs and the business has a mascot named appropriately "Blue". I think he is a bluetick hound. Anyway, if you aren't a fan of draft beer, bring your own drink.
