Surrounded by Snow Capped Mountains, lovely river flow, yak ride along the river bed, Just Mesmerizing. Guys, after taking photos, just sit in the bench fixed along the river bed, forget about all, just enjoy the view and weather, Your worries will be vanished. Yak ride charges here are less than Changu lake. Must go place during season with Young Kids.

IT is such a calm and serene place to visit. WE were the first to visit. We reached there on our return from gangtok in the morning by 9AM. It was such a sight to behold and have the monastery all for yourself Monks do stay there and there is such good view for mountains and breeze all around. A stretch of road to the monastery is not so good though that doesn't matter when you get such amazing views.

As we had travelled during rainy season the river was gushing with strong flow. On your way to Gangtok from Siliguri on National Highway 10, the first thing you will start enjoying is the beautiful company of Teesta River. You will get some great scenic views of the river on your way. There are few tourist spots where you can enjoy white river water rafting.

I along with my wife visited Hanuman Tok on 30th Jan'21. Hanuman Tok is around 11 km from Gangtok and is located at height of approximately 7000 feet on the upper reaches of Gangtok. The temple is dedicated to lord Hanuman, and maintained by the Indian army. It was established in 1952. Hanuman Tok offers a spectacular view of Kanchenjunga and has beautiful view-point where one can capture the beauty of nature and cherish it for lifetime. Please Note - Don't forget to go to the building exactly opposite to the main Hanuman temple as its has whole story of Hanuman Tok beautifully engraved and written. Jai Barangbali

Sangacholing Monastery

Reviewed By S123Rai - Mangalore, India

It was a five minutes drive for us from our hotel ..but trekking to this place is also a good option which we did not opt for it as we were traveling with little children. The is ample parking spacwhich is a huge plus point. Recently (November-2018) a statue of Chenrezig (137feet) and a skywalk has been inaugurated here. Some minor constructions works are still ongoing. The place is just awesome. The skywalk, the statue just beautiful. It was cloudy when we were there so we couldn’t get a good view of the Kanchenjunga range but still it looked scenic. The view below the skywalk is not that great , just the ground for now but they are working on making beautiful gardens . The monastery is calm and peaceful .The sound of prayers transports you to another world. The view from here is also breathtaking One well maintain Np and serene place , a must visit when in Pelling.

Pemayangtse Gompa

Reviewed By DrKishoreBanerjee - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

An awesome place to visit during your stay in Pelling region of Sikkim. As it was within a stone’s throw distance of our Elgin heritage resort , we visited this place twice during our trip in west Sikkim. A beautiful and tranquil place with its own charm. Mesmerising views of Himalayan mountain range could be seen from this monastery.
