Top 10 Things to do Good for Kids in Managua, Managua Department

March 25, 2022 Augustus Redeker

Six thousand years ago, human footprints were left in the volcanic mud along the shores of Lake Managua. Preserved over centuries, these footprints can be seen at The Museum of Acahualinca in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. In addition to the footprints and impressive collections of pre-Colombian artifacts in the city's museums, Managua has much more to offer. The Tiscapa Lagoon Natural Reserve is a watery retreat within the city, with bars, shops, ziplines, and a canopy ride with views of downtown.

I've been going to Central America since the early 1990s, and when I go to Nicaragua I always call Mr. Robert Ow. I've driven with many other drivers, but he's the best. Always on time. Always a big smile. Always very helpful. His vehicles are in great shape and clean. Never a problem and always comfortable. Robert's been doing this a long time and he really knows how to take care of his clients. And yes, he's a very safe driver. And that matters a lot! Over the years we've become friends. When I arrive in Nicaragua it's always great to see Robert's smiling face waiting for us in the arrivals area. Whether you're going to the beaches on either coast, visiting one of the volcanoes or sightseeing in Leon, Granada or anywhere in Nicaragua, Robert knows his way around. All the best restaurants, too! Highly recommended!

This is the main reason why I travel to Managua - to see the Cathedral Santiago de Managua, which is located next to the Revolution Square, Casa de Los Pueblos and Palacio National de la Cultura. This is the oldest structure could be seen among the rest.
