We passed this place many times on our way to Burlington. We finally took the time to check it out. This place is beyond amazing. Even if you are typically not into museums, this place has something for everyone. It's like 50 museums in one place. It's like exploring the back lot of a movie studio, only everything here is real. You will see art, sculptures, barns, trains, dolls, toys, hats, gardens, a covered bridge, church, school, ferry, lighthouse, merry-go-round, circus memorabilia and so much more. I could have spent all day in the doll exhibit. So creepy and awesome. Plan to spend hours here, if not a whole day. As a photographer, I was in absolute heaven.

We traveled from indiana to visit the museum. When we went for a tour today we were only charged $7.50 per guest. The tour went on for almost 2 hours! The tour guide was very knowledgeable! The items on display are priceless! Some of the irreplaceable items were a helicopter, cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and motorized bicycles. The museum also had huge bonus displays such as model trains and cars which were incredible! The museum catered to people with disabilities to include restrooms, and golf cart rides to the different museum buildings. It was also nice to see multiple seats strategically placed throughout the museum for people to sit and enjoy the exhibits. This was a great tour with a great admission fee! Must visit!

Working farm offering a fall corn maze, pumpkin patch, wagon rides, petting zoo, and kids play area. Petting zoo animals include fainting goats, pygmy goats, chickens, pot belly kids, and a calf. The farm also raises Belgian Draft Horses, cattle, and donkeys. We are open from mid September through October for pumpkin picking and corn maze adventures. There is also fresh produce seasonally. Winter sleigh rides run from mid December through February and are located at the Historic John Brown Farm in Lake Placid, NY. The farm also has seasonal produce for sale, as well as fresh eggs.

Wonderful sleigh ride in a winter wonderland. The horses are beautiful. Great for families. A must do when in Lake Placid.

We spent the morning and afternoon just strolling the whole marketplace, window-shopping and and actually making some purchases. All kinds of shops-men’s store, women’s shops and boutiques, souvenirs and plenty more. The market place was a safe stroll with no actual traffic to worry about. Plenty of places to stop in and get a bite to eat or have a drink. It was nicely decorated for the holidays although while we were there it was to early to see the full affect of the lights. If you are in the area it is definitely a cool thing to do even if you don’t shop and just people watch.

We loved exploring this beautiful spot on Lake Champlain. Nice beach and walking path. Our kids rolled their eyes at first when we made them figure out how the earth clock works, but they thought it was cool in the end. We all wished we had more time and could have rented a kayak. Don’t miss the super tall filing cabinet art a few blocks away from the park.

Visited the farms based on the reviews everywhere on the internet and wasn’t disappointed ! The property is huge and offers miles of trails where you can either interact with animals , watch maple trees tapped or marvel at the beautiful inn and the barn . I must say I think the farm offers the best view of the lake . Be prepared to spend at least three hours when visiting to truly enjoy the views offered by the farm .

My wife and I rented excellently tuned Fuji hybrid bikes from Outdoor Gear Exchange downtown and rode 31 miles round trip along the waterfront rail to trail path, taking the Clochester path to the Causeway Path and eventually to South Hero where we found The Accidental Farmer for a great lunch. Beautiful way to see part of Burlington.

1. Start early 2. Bring some good anti-slip shoes and water-proof Jacket 3. Take the Classic tour (includes a raft tour) 4. Leave your Camera and valuables in your car/hotel room – there are no lockers onsite 5. Bring a GoPro with you to catch all the scenery without worrying We were visiting on a Sunday so started really early in the morning. Took the - Classic Tour that includes a breathtaking hike through the upper chasm followed by a scenic float (via raft) through the lower chasm on the legendary waters of the Ausable River (30$ per person- put on your wristband so it’s visible). After a short walk to the rainbow falls view point – take the detour to see the elephant’s head - that’s the best angle! follow the yellow trail (inner sanctum), continue with the trail that leads you through the chasm to the rafting dock. We waited about 30 min to the raft to fill and went out on the raft (if you can snag the first 2 seats do it for the best views). There was barely a stream (October) so the ride was very easy going and pleasant – we hardly got wet at all! It was a very special perspective seeing the chasm from this angle – highly recommended to add the bucks for the raft ride! On the end of the ride you can walk but we chose to take the shuttle back to the visitor center. We spent about 3 hours in total – it was a very busy day full with guided tours and would have been so much nicer with fewer crowds… but do it anyway! After all – this is the oldest nature attraction in America :)

When you take the Ferry to Port Kent, NY you have about 50 minutes to enjoy the scenery of Vermont behind you and the beautiful Adirondack mountain in NY in front of you. It's a nice relaxing ride.
