During the first two years of work it presented 13 premiers and welcomed about half a million spectators. The opera and ballet scene saw rapid development. The talented artists came to the theatre, a repertoire was enlarged, and cooperation with the prominent musical theatre figures began. Today the theatre plays a significant role in Russian culture. The theatre team consists of opera and ballet companies, a symphony orchestra, a chorus and a children’s studio.
