Mostar (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [mǒstaːr]) is a city and municipality in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inhabited by 105,797 people, it is the most important city in the Herzegovina region, its cultural capital, and the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.

We had an amazing transfer with Mili. Our plans changed several times and he was very easy to communicate with and accommodated our changes. We even added a stop in Međugorje last minute and he was incredibly accommodating again. We ended up canceling a tour from Sarajevo to Kotor just so we could drive with Mili a second time. And we are planning another Balkan trip just so we can travel with him. This is the best way to travel in the region. Excellent driving, even on some treacherous mountain roads, and the car was spotless. Highly recommended. And his wife makes the best baklava!

My wife and I spent a long day with Elvis. I am a photographer with specific interests, and Elvis handled it all. We were picked us up in Sarajevo, driven to Mostar with a couple of key stops along the way, spent time in and around Mostar, drove us to the lovely little town and fortress of Počitelj, then back to our Airbnb in Sarajevo. Elvis is deeply knowledgable about the history of these areas--both recent and ancient--and is a good communicator. He's also a very very nice guy.
