Quite Paradise on the beautyfull province of Okinawa. Worthy to see and to visit. Easy to find but nothing to eat, no one restaurant or bar.

I spent a day biking and beaching on Taketomi and it could not have been better. A short ferry ride from Ishigaki, it is the perfect size to spend a day wandering around. This beach is the crown jewel - large, gorgeous, perfect water, sandbars, and facilities to rinse off.

I had a really enjoyable day with Taka and 3 other customers as we kayaked and hiked to the top and bottom of the Pinaisara Falls. The kayaking was easy but the hiking requires a bit of dexterity. Taka speaks English well and explained clearly essential information and a lot about the amazing nature we trekked through. He prepared a delicious Okinawan noodle lunch and a Mochi snack. I highly recommend this tour with this company!

Yubu Island is quite famous for day excursion from Ishigaki though we stayed at Iriomote itself and had an interesting trip here. You can buy the tickets at entrance and take the buffalo ride to/back from the island. Their are about 50 buffaloes presently on the Islan, interesting thing is all come from same line and their family tree is pasted in the souvenir shop. The man riding the buffalo cart plays Japanese guitar and sings folk songs which I think is the highlight of the trip. Their is a beach on other end of the island, though it's not for snorkeling or swimming. Fresh pineapple are available in abundance and loved the milk ice cream which is available at entrance.

The beach is famous for star shaped sands or pebbles which we couldn’t find much. Locals claimed that sands were less and less available. However, we found that this was a perfect beach to observe a sea life as it was easy to snorkel from sea shore even for kids. There was a shop nearby to get food and drinks. We will visit the beach if we have a chance to go to Iriomote island.
