Top 10 Things to do Good for Big Groups in San Andres Island, San Andres and Providencia Department

June 26, 2021 Major Galusha

The coral island of San Andres is a diverse ecosystem of reefs, geysers, groves, and cays. Needless to say, it’s perfect for diving, snorkeling, and outdoor exploring. This paradise has multicolored warm waters and 12 mangrove forests, and the beach cedars of Johnny Cay are like natural condos for beach birds. Keep an eye out for overlooked pirate treasure at Morgan’s Cave before chowing down on rondón, a signature Caribbean dish of fish, pork, conch, plantain and coconut milk.

San andres isn't just beautiful beaches, it has beautiful forest trails too! And nothing better than on a horse. Enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna as you gallop on a mighty horse past locals and turists alike. See all the seven colors of the sea from a hill top so high you can touch the clouds. This is the real-real San Andrés untouched and preserved right under your nose.

Beautiful place to go. Water is a little aggressive so it is important to follow instructions (stay within the swimming area). The water is absolutely beautiful and very warm. There were lockers to keep the belongings. Food was also fabulous (fried red snapper was the best of all 4 fish).

San Andres Divers

San Andres Divers will work hard to make your dive day memorable for the great experience and memories, not the long boat ride to the reef and then again back to the dock. We are situated with fast boats on both the west and east sides of the island closest to the most popular dive sites to minimize transit times; you can be back from a two tank dive in time for lunch or a siesta….alternatively, we can add a third dive after a leisurely lunch at the Cove, a popular surface interval site serving delicious seafood. If you are not yet a SCUBA Diver, or wish to complete an Open Water Referral, take a Specialty Course or an Advanced Certification, our international, multi-lingual Staff would be pleased to assist you. We offer the world-recognized scuba diving certifications of PADI and NAUI. We look forward to helping you arrange your visit to San Andres Island and serving you with a great Caribbean scuba diving holiday!
