Lesbos (/ˈlɛzbɒs/, US: /ˈlɛzboʊs/; Greek: Λέσβος Lesvos, pronounced [ˈlezvos]), sometimes referred to as Mytilene after its capital, is a Greek island located in the northeastern Aegean Sea. It has an area of 1,633 km (631 sq mi) with 320 kilometres (199 miles) of coastline, making it the third largest island in Greece. It is separated from Turkey by the narrow Mytilini Strait and in late Palaeolithic/Mesolithic times was joined to the Anatolian mainland before the end of the last glacial period.

At the entrance to Molyvos Harbour, we serve all drinks, beers, cocktails, juices, coffees, etc. Our music/videoclip selection is legendary - from Frank, Ella, the Stones, to Muse, Coldplay & Lady G!! Our customers are all ages - couples, singles; and all nationalities (UK, Holland, Mainland Greece, etc), including lots of local people. Prices are low, measures are generous. Plenty of inside seating and our long balcony offers beautiful direct sea views!!!
Beautiful spot, overlooking the Molyvos Harbour. The owner is a dry wit, who is charming and thoughtful. Felt like cocktails and settled on a Mixed Berry Daquiri and an ouzo-based drink called the Jellybean. They were beautifully flavoured and strong. We stumbled home with big smiles on our faces ;) We'll definitely come back.

It is a family-based olive wood handicraft business making products of household, decorative and personal use, everything handmade. From April 2015, after 25 years of wholesale, there is a showroom with a vast variety of handmade olivewood items (and some complementary having to do with olive oil). The prices are much lower since you will be at the production source. It is unique in Lesbos and one of the few all over the world with exclusively olive wood products. You can also enjoy, join the whole production procedure down at the workshop or even propose your own ideas of new products. We are waiting for you, for an exciting experience. Working hours, daily service 10:00 am - 21:00 pm
Amazing service and a very friendly environment! I wanted to buy everything and the owner is so loveable

In 1894, Isidoros Arvanitis, the persistent perfectionist from Plomari who searches tirelessly to find the ideal ingredients in order to create the perfect recipe for Ouzo, begins his big quest. After many journeys, he will finally find what he was searching for. The great recipe that offers him the flavour of exactly what he was dreaming of. The traditional way of distillation in small, handmade, copper stills, combined with the excellent ingredients offered by the land of Lesvos and the unique recipe created by Isidoros Arvanitis in 1894, which is faithfully employed to this day, give Ouzo of Plomari its distinct aroma and taste that make it stand out. Celebrating more than 120 years of history and tradition, Ouzo of Plomari Isidoros Arvanitis opens its gates and invites you to experience the “World of Ouzo”. An extraordinary guided tour, for all your senses, that takes place in the Plomari Ouzo Distillery in picturesque Plomari, Lesvos.

You can’t help but look at the beautiful church on the rocks as you approach Petra from road or sea. We made a special visit from Molyvos to climb the steps and visit the pretty church and courtyard. Lovely views from the top. Definitely worth seeking out if in the area.

The Museum of Industrial Olive-Oil Production of Lesvos presents the industrial phase of olive-oil production in Greece. It focuses on the changes brought about by the introduction of mechanical motion on the process of olive-oil production and approaches the contribution of the region's inhabitants to the production process with sensitivity. Its objective is to showcase our industrial heritage in the sector of olive-oil production and incorporate it into the broader architectural, social and cultural context of the period. The Museum is housed in the old communal olive press of Aghia Paraskevi on the island of Lesvos. The buildings and the mechanical equipment have been restored in an exemplary fashion. Thus, you can observe how the equipment functions and how the factory evolved from steam power to diesel engine operation. At the same time, you will acquaint yourselves with daily life at the «People's Machine».
