If you are looking for a wide variety of excellent wines, friendly and knowledgable staff this is the winery for you! Chris Lopez does a great job of making you feel welcome, explaining wines and also keeping you updated on the constant improvements they make here, Every visit to the Traverse City area includes a visit here. And they remember us and welcome us back. It's a struggle to decide which wines we want to take home with us - there are so many good ones to choose from. Our favorites are their Barrel Aged Chardonnay, Acturos Pino Gris, Leorie Vineyard Merlot Cabernet Franc, and the Arcturos Merlot. But so many others are also good. A must visit for anyone coming to the area. Someday we'll stay at their Black Star Inn.

They have a very nice tasting room with views of the vineyard. They did require a reservation on the weekend for tasting which are done inside. We didn’t have one but they did allow us to buy a glass of wine and sit at one of the many picnic tables outside. So if you don’t have a reservation and the weather is nice you might still have a chance to try their Sparkling wines. We have been buying the Detroit for a while now and it’s been sold out in Metro Detroit so we purchased a few bottles while we visited.

First time ever to a winery or cidery. Tandem Cider is located off the main highway, like a Michigan secret. Great location for this. Staff was eager to explain any products we questioned. We enjoyed our first-ever "flight" of 6 assorted brews, loved 2 of them and immediately purchased a bottle of each. Very affordable! Pretty outdoor park-like seating with a nice view of the neighboring orchard. Will definitely return!

Silver Leaf Vineyard & Winery

An Artisan's Approach... We are dedicated to making wines that reflect the unique character and quality of our vineyard and the vineyards of Michigan. Whether carefully sourcing grapes from top sites in the state or from our own vineyard, our winery was built on the belief that great wines begin in the vineyard. We strive to understand the needs and opportunities presented by each specific terroir. We harvest when the flavors have reached their peak and the tannins are at their softest. In the winery, we apply an artisan's approach to winemaking, using taste and instinct, not formula to build our wines. Wines are barreled in either French oak or American oak depending upon the grape and what might be best for the particular vintage at hand. The commitment to crafting wines of distinction will remain at the heart of Silver Leaf Vineyard's philosophy. As our estate property continues to mature, the winery will continue creating exceptional wines. Our hope is that you'll grow with us. For the full experience spend a few nights in our cabin situated in the vineyard and truly be one with the wine.

We recently met up with some friends in Northport and did a wine tasting here. It’s a cute little building for tasting with an outside patio as well. Since it was late in the day, we had the place to ourselves (6 in our group). Great service, excellent wines. We ended up with 2 bottles of their rosé called Fling. It was definitely our group fave, we almost bought out their remaining stock. LOL. The sangria is also wonderful, sold in a growler only. Hopefully they’ll bottle it soon because we would have gotten that too! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
