This is a small, low-tech but beloved chunk of Summerville and its storied past. Come here when you have a little time so you can enjoy being walked around by one of the dedicated and knowledgeable docents (who most likely is also a bit of a character). A wonderful way to learn about Summerville’s history and rub elbows with long-established locals.

I literally just left the store after attending Sewing With Sue. I’ve loved this quilting store for years and have always stopped there during my annual visit to Summerville from Pittsburgh. I’ve always purchased multiple quilt kits there but my work schedule inhibited my getting them started. I’m here for a longer stay and decided I would attend this group which is one where Sue assists you with projects you may be working on and helps you get on track. I can’t say enough about Sue as she is so calm and just helps you focus and gave me many tips about making the quilting process easier. I’ve attended both the Wednesday and today’s Friday class. The group is so nice and supportive. I can’t say enough. Sue - you are one of those special people we cross paths with and I’m so glad I did. If you are I the Charleston area and quilt or would like to, this is a must do!

The Celtic Knot Pub

We're the first Irish Pub of our kind. The kind, that somehow is known for its burgers. Sounds strange, but it pays to be different! We do have $4 Jameson at all times, and Summerville's FIRST Homemade Alcoholic Ice Cream! #WhyKnot come give us a try?

Happy new year folks, here’s to 2021. Met up with a few couple friends of ours for adult beverages and food. Their burgers come highly recommended. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Service was good, COVID protocol was followed per town ordinance. The fried mushrooms and pickles were very good, the in-house made horseradish sauce is on point. Beverages were good and plentiful, servers were very responsive to our needs. THE BURGERS....... I’ve had a lot of burgers at alot of establishments, I must say..... these are the best I’ve had, hands down! Party of seven and nothing but praise and satisfaction from the meal. Thanks for a great evening ladies and gentlemen, we will be back.

Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center on Ladson Road in Oakbrook is a great place for all things fun and entertaining. It is good to have something to do in this area and Stars and Strikes offers so much from a place to bowl, play games, and many other activities. This place is so big and has a lot of places and spaces that it is cool and feels like many different places all in one. Every time that I have been there has been very fun and exciting. I really like the food here too as it is very tasty and there are many different options available that all are very good. The staff here is very cool and friendly. I look forward to coming back here many times in the future for even more fun and great times.

Went to Regal to watch Guardians of the Galaxy. The theater was widely spaced with nice chairs and easy to see row designations. We watched it in the RPX 3D which surprisingly did not result in feelings of sickness like earlier versions of 3D did. The ticketing was easy as we used the Atom Tickets app which allowed us to pick it seats and even gives the option of pre-purchasing snacks (the theater has a special line for Atom Ticket purchasers at the concession stand). Loved the movie and was greatly pleased with the cleanliness of the theater and public areas.

I’m seriously tempted not to write a positive review simply because I don’t want so many people going that I can’t get tickets. Honestly, I can’t understand why anyone would go to a more pricey theatre. The facility isn’t fancy. But it is clean and the seats are comfortable enough to sit through a movie. No, they don’t recline and they don’t have head rests. But how much is that worth for two hours? Concessions are a reasonable price for movie theatre standards. They show new movies at the same time they come to the expensive theatres. And there is a delicious and inexpensive restaurant next door for before/after the movie. What isn’t there to love?
