Top 10 Things to do Good for a Rainy Day in Cannon Beach, Oregon (OR)

August 6, 2021 Merry Kessler

With the distinctive Haystack Rock and Needles marking its shoreline, Cannon Beach is one of Oregon's quaintest and most picturesque destinations. Nine miles of beach make a perfect setting for strolling along the seaside, watching diverse wildlife in its natural habitat and building a sand castle in the annual sand castle building contest. With strict regulations in place limiting the infiltration of large chain stores or restaurants, Cannon Beach retains its small town charm.

This was our favorite place to shop during our day adventure in Cannon Beach area. I bought a beautiful necklace and enjoyed exploring and finiding little treasures around every corner.

Bronze Coast Gallery

Bronze Coast Gallery was opened in Cannon Beach in 1993, on a foundation of knowledge and experience in bronze casting. This laid the groundwork for a gallery based upon the belief that education facilitates appreciation, and the gallery continues this mission today. As the face of bronze sculpture has changed over the years, so have the gallery offerings. A wide variety of sculpture is available, from classic limited edition bronze to unique and innovative contemporary artwork, as well as exquisite paintings. Representing over 40 artists from the northwest and beyond, we consider it a privilege to be involved with these extraordinary people and make it a priority to intricately understand their work in order to share the experience with others. The Bronze Coast Gallery is located in the heart of scenic Cannon Beach, 90 minutes west of Portland on the northwest Oregon coast.

Long time visitor who has visited them all and bought works from several, but my go to place is the Bronze Coast Gallery. The new owner, Joseph Clayton has a passion for art and the business and his enthusiasm is present when you walk in. He has replaced Kim the former owner admirably. Melissa on staff is excellent to work with and very knowledgeable. For special event weekends this is always a fun place to spend time.

This was a highlight of our weekend get away at Cannon Beach. I haven’t had a massage in 5 years, so I was tight and much overdue. Scott gave me a deep tissue massage that fantastic. Just what the doctor ordered. Husband couldn’t stop talking about his massage with Holly. Will definitely make a massage at Ocean Spa part of every visit to Cannon Beach.

Awesome local theatre for Cannon Beach!! We saw the performance of "Clue" and were drawn in to the mystery, comedy and good time! There was obvious chemistry between the actors as we saw the show on September 1, 2017 just a day before the final curtain. This charming little theatre is a must see on the Oregon Coast for all musical and live theatre aficionados. Every seat in the house is good, but pay the extra $5 for the best... you'll feel like the actors are looking straight at you and that you're in the play.

Very cute store. We came during a very slow season so the sampling taffy they had out was as hard as a rock haha. I'm sure it is fresher during the busy months. They have really cute trinkets.
