As much as this archeological site is interesting as such, it boasts the lake views to come there for! It is easy to spend several hours here, even half a day if the weather is nice. The museum is surrounded by meadows with old olive trees, so you will always find some shade. Bringing your own lunch and enjoy it sinking in the lake views could be a good idea!

Awesome flat-rock beach! You have to go here if you visit Sirmione. Water is warm, clear and quiet for chilling and sunbathing...not a sandy beach though. Get yourself a pair of rock-water-shoes!

along the paths to the ruins, take time to come up to the church. Music playing sets the mood for the soft frescoed walls, old benches with worn places where thousands of feet have rested over the years,,,

Ca dei Frati

Had a really interesting tour with Sara at Ca dei Frati. She was well informed, spoke perfect English and was let us see so many parts of the process including the bottling area. VERY generous wine tasting afterwards with sparking, rose, white, red and grappa all given even at 10.30am. In response to the previous reviewer, we had our glasses changed between “types” of wine. I’m sure if the previous reviewer had asked their glass would have been changed!!! We only encountered very friendly and helpful staff at Ca dei Frati, and were very impressed by their non pushy customer service. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Sirmione (€1 bus to stop 11 then a 20 minute walk) or south Lake Garda.

Centro Storico Sirmione

We had no expectations about Sirmione, lake Garda was the beauty we've expected to see and meet, but Sirmione ended up to be one of the most beautiful places we've visited this spring on our Northern Italy trip! Warm, peaceful, green, clean, flowery, with beautiful small stores and restaurants, narrow streets full of flowers and nice people... and stunning lake Garda surrounding it from all of it's sides. Truly beautiful and breathtaking! Perfect place for holidays, vacation and finding peace inside of yourself... even for summer vacation, you have beautiful places for swimming... amazing. Truly.
