Top 10 Specialty lodgings in Zealand, Denmark

April 28, 2023 Jacquiline Delozier

Denmark's largest island is so much more than simply the home of the country's dynamic capital, Copenhagen. Zealand also offers a delightful array of holiday homes and villas, pleasing harbors and sandy beaches, fringed by forests where castles lurk. Major destinations include the UNESCO-designated, Dutch Renaissance-style Kronborg Castle in Helsingor and the Viking attractions, cathedral and music festival of Roskilde. To the south bobs a flotilla of beautiful and relatively untouched islands.

Aperon Apartment Hotel

A tale of 2 apartments

Reviewed By KandyKane056

Due to a mistake made by me during reservation, I reserved the wrong dates and had to request a new reservation for the day I had missed. Unfortunately, the hotel couldn't add the extra day and keep us in the same apartment. The reception asked that I do another reservation for that single day and we will be given a different apartment. Apartment No. 1 was awesome! It was extremely clean, our care taker left us her name and a box of chocolates on the table with the book for recommendations and wifi. Since there was 3 of us, muy sister slept on the sofa bed and said it was comfortable. Bringing the suitcases up was easy as it was only one floor to do it and we had a lot of closet space and space around the room to push them on the side without feeling cramped. For Apt. 1 once you walk in, there is the kitchen and on the left side the bathroom. Then, you walk a bit and there is one bedroom with a glass door and curtains on the left too. On the right, there is a round table and in the side the TV and behind the table the sofa bed with the closet on the wall. Everything worked on this apartment and there was plenty of Nespresso pods and tea. Even though we were on the first floor, it was quiet and we never heard anyone walking on the courtyard. Wifi worked great too! The next day we moved to Apt 29 which is in the building across (the building with laundry room) and is on the 3rd floor. There is no elevator, we had to carry everything upstairs. I don't recall seeing anything about taking things upstairs or not having an elevator or just me assuming there would be one. This was a hassle, so keep that in mind or just pack light. Then, this apartment was a little darker than the other, there was no really light around the kitchen to cook and see. There was no really closet space, the cabinets by the kitchen had kitchen supplies. We didn't get a chocolate box either. This apartment had 2 bedrooms and look more like a loft. One to the right once you come in and had a glass door with curtains as well. This one had a rack for clothes. The other bedroom was a loft upstairs but only the bed was there with no other furniture to place items or a shelve or rack to hang your clothes. We had a different caretaker and the room was not as clean as Apt 1. There was a broken soap pump, 3 Nespresso pods and no tea. Also, the lock for the bathroom was broken. If you try to open the door, it slide out. I texted the reception and they gave us a new soap, more coffee and tea right away. The person said they will let maintenance know about the lock and it will get fixed but it didn't fix during our stay. We confirmed and there is no elevator. Other than that, Aperon is in a great location, 5 min walk from Nørreport train station. It is a straight shot from the airport too on M2. You can see the Round Tower from the courtyard. There is lots of restaurants, hot dog carts, Netto super market eith walking distance. We did take advantage of being able to cook and make our own meals by buying groceries. There is also a Covid test center 5 min from the Round Tower/ hotel in case you need to get one before traveling. Also, Aperon gives you free lockers and free washing machines and dryers with laundry soap that we used as well several times due to the rain. The reception was great, very responsive and helped us with our questions quickly. The area was very safe, we all rolled our suitcases at 4 am to take the metro to go back to the airport and there were cops around, no problems, even waiting for the Metro. I would recommend booking directly with them as they offer a 100% cancellation refund unlike via Airbnb or Vrbo. They will try to accommodate early checkins or give you a late checkout too if you book directly with them.

For kids.

Reviewed By RuniSim

The is a fun park for kids and they seem to have a lot of fun there. It was noisy, but that is what to expected, when many kids are gathered in a water park. Several of the slides were fun and specially the "River" was popular with our kid. He also loves the wave pool. There are several dining places on the premises and they are all fine for a family holiday, but don't expect Michelin stars. There are also other activities at the park, but we did not use them so much. The surrounding area is nice and we had a couple of walks in the forest and towards the ocean.

Fikk trøbbel med bilen og straks var de på pletten og kunne låne oss noe verktøy så vi kom oss videre. At rommene er rene og velstelte er i tillegg ett pluss på toppen av alt annet. Musholm - Holiday - Sport - Conference

Musholm is one of the most accessible holiday, sports and conference centres – both to get to and stay at. It is a so-called social enterprise, which is primarily run with the purpose of supporting a social purpose of offering holiday and leisure activities to a particular user group. Any profits must thus be used to support and develop activities according to the purpose. We are located by the beautiful white beach in the middle of Denmark. 90 minute drive by train or car from Copenhagen, two hours from Aarhus and 45 minutes from Odense. At Musholm, everyone can have a great experience. In the fantastic setting, there are high ceilings in every sense of the word. Everyone is met with opportunities rather than limitations. We have made a virtue out of everyone, regardless of body and age, being able to find an activity to participate in. But those who can and who want a little more can also have a chance to test their boundaries. In brief: At Musholm, there are challenges and experiences for everyone. We spell diversity with a capital D and you can go from tranquillity to racing in an instant. On the coastal paths, idyllic country roads, along the beach and in our multi-purpose sports room, you can enjoy life and feel the adrenaline pumping, whether you’re into elite sport or sports for the first time. The multi-purpose hall is a paradise for those who are tired of activities for people with disabilities often ending up with packing the participants in too much wool. You can take part in all conceivable wheelchair sports and movement activities. You can climb or be hoisted up the climbing wall. Zip across the room in a cable car or lose yourself in the romp room. Around the hall, there is a covered ramp which ends in a fantastic skylounge with a view of the sea and roof. Immediately adjacent to this, we have an exercise room with equipment adapted to wheelchair users, people with walking disabilities and the visually impaired. Outdoors and indoors, the settings are so comfortable that there’s also space for reflection and being yourself. Finally, you’ll always find someone amongst our skilled staff and network that can help you get going. In addition to the hall, we’ve also built a dining room with sea view. Musholm holiday-sports-conference was established in 1998 on the initiative of the Muscular Dystrophy Fund, with support from, amongst others, the Labour Market Holiday Fund in order to create good, attractive holiday experiences for people with disabilities. The current area is approximately 4,000 square metres and consists of 30 holiday homes, as well as a limited number of shared facilities. In addition, the centre has available fantastic outdoor areas with direct access to accessible paths, piers and bathhouses on the beach with all necessary aids for people with disabilities.

Paradise for disabled kids and their tired parents

Reviewed By 881adelas

We came here for a summer kid camp for disabled children. The location is fantastic with beautiful and fully-furnished and equipped apartments just above the beach. The fully accessible grounds connected by covered corridors have lots of activities for children and make for great place for games if the weather does not pan out. The beach is white sand, and the bay blocks much of the wind, so is mostly calm for bathing as well as longer swims. Short walk (10mins) to train and longer (20min) walk to town and nearest shopping. Buffet food was excellent, set menus could have more fresh vegetables, and alcohol was pricey (bring your own;).

Awesome accommodation

Everything perfect, close to Nyhavn and the little mermaid just 5/7 minutes by walking to both. There is two supermarkets near to buy somethings that you can cook in the apartament kitchen. There is some coffe, sugar, salt, pepper, some olive oil, etc for free there. We asked the owners to check out one hour before 11 am and they allowed so we could leave the luggage in one of the flats. If we come back to Copenhague we’ll choose again.

De Berlín a Kopenhagen

Reviewed By F6969MIjavierb

Recomendado!
