Will be our 1st choice in Greater Male region

Reviewed By ChikaFish

We stayed at Ocean View Queen Room for 6 nights; 2 nights for the initial plan and extended 4 nights. We are extremely happy with the property and the service. Amber Beach will be our first choice when we stay in Greater Male region! Room: - The balcony that allowed us to breathe fresh air without going down the stairs. - Bed was comfy and I loved the fluffy soft pillows. - The bathroom was clean and bright, the exhaust fan was strong enough for small laundries to be dried by the next morning; which is very rare to have at hotels in Male/Hulhumale. Staff & Service - The Manager was always approachable, friendly and caring. - Receptionists were very helpful and reliable. If they weren’t able to answer immediately, they’d make sure to be communicated with others and the manager, and they would get back to us for certain. - Room boys were very trusty. Shelves and behind the bed were also cleaned, and one more surprise was that a small tip we left on the bed were nicely put back on the dresser… which I doubled and haded directly to the boys later :-) - Breakfast buffet was enjoyable at the table outside (and inside, of course, if you wish to) including fresh fruits. The waiter was very attending who would ask your preference how eggs to be prepared and comes fresh from the kitchen. - A neighboring restaurant, Red Snapper & Coffee Beans, was our favorite to have good coffee in the daytime and for dinner. Waiters at the restaurant were very friendly and tried to remember our preferences. We also get “Amber Beach guest” discount at Red Snapper, thanks a lot :-) There was a kitty in the area that delivered babies in the bush during our stay. Amber Beach gave her (and babies) a safe shelter. This tells how caring this hotel is!!

AMAZING!

Reviewed By Jaszmina

We spent a 12 days long holiday at Kahanbu Ocean View and everything was just perfect! The place is amazing, it has a special laid-back vibe, the garden ends in the ocean, thus you have a private bikini beach for yourself. The breakfast is Italian style, coffee (thank you for the mokka Giulia) and cakes, with fresh fruit or eggs. If you are lucky enough you might have a view of dolphins playing during breakfast :) The real gem about the place are the super nice hosts, Giulia and Chikaa, who did everything possible to make us feel at home (ordering a birthday cake, visiting the sandbank, renting a SUP, recommending the best shops, watching Chikaa surf, etc.) and to have an unforgettable holiday at Kahanbu. Raju the chef was always ready to help us, he prepared baby food for our son, accompanied with a huge smile :) It was the best decision to stay at Kahanbu! Thank you guys for everything!

Sunrise Beach

Welcome to Maafushi Maldives! People say that the Maldivian islands are where they find their inner peace and calmness; so much so that the entire country’s economy is literally built around the hospitality business. But you’ll have to experience the sudden change of pace, from your flight to the hustle and bustle of the capital city of Maldives, to the utter change of pace that you’ll experience

Best experience ever in Maldives

I went to Maldives from 2nd march 2022 to 6th march 2022. I stayed at sunrise in Mafushi and the hotel was clean and staff was very helpful. Even staff itself organized activities for me. I went for snorkling and it was the best experience ever. It was like dream comes true. My guide/trainer was Haiday and he was so genuine person and i felt so comfortable to do snorkling with him. He made sure i was safe. I followed his steps and i got confidence to do it without life jacket even. Thankyou for this life time experience. I will visit again and will stay here itself. Amazing vegan breakfast on request

Reviewed By pikenacarol

+ delicious breakfast: we requested vegan (fruit, veg curry, roshi, bread) and traditional Maldivian (mashuni roshi) + immaculately clean + air con + good wifi + bottled water provided every day + the host is very polite and a beautiful person. He’s happy to organise anything for you: speedboat in and out of the island, takeaway food, excursions. We felt like at home, with dad looking after us ? + only a few steps to the bikini beach - there was nothing we didn’t like. PS: if you’re island hoping, make sure you visit the stunning small island of Fulidhoo (our favourite out of Guraidhoo, Gulhi, Fulidhoo, Hulumalle & Diffushi).

Iru Maldives

Even better than one could expect!

Reviewed By pomodoronellozaino

A wonderful and at the same time simple place to have a great stay in Thulusdhoo. Staff is there everytime you need them (plus they give you a slice of pizza gratis once a day!) and the hotel is ten meter from a private bikini beach (private, yes, but not isolated from the rest of the island). The rooms are clean and really nice, in a wood structure; beds are really comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and guests can book daily excursions to a lot of places (sand bank, snorkeling, corals, etc) for about 20$-30$. We did snorkeling and we really liked it: you have a person swimming with you (and the group of 6/8 people that go to the excursion) during the whole dive.

Not an enjoyable stay - we will not go back there

#1. the island is getting full of motorbikes, although it's only 300m long. It's ridiculous. A few times, we were walking on the island and some Maldivian on motorbike came rushing 5 centimeters from us. Not a good feeling. #2. in the week-end, the Maldivian come to the beach that is adjacent to the tourist beach. They throw their garbage in the sea (plastic bags, bottles, food). The stream brings the litter to the tourist beach. Very disgusting. #3. The walls of the hotel are so thin that we could hear the person in the next room snoring and farting. #4. We got sick several times from the food served there. #5. The wifi is so bad, that we could not even send an email. It was 50kb/sec. Youtube at 144kb did not work. They lied to us saying that it was normal in the Maldives. It is not. There phones for instance have 2Mb/sec (we checked). We had to pay a local to use his wifi to send an email for work. #6. The mosquee is super loud at 4am. They will wake you up every morning with the sound of the prayer. #7. There is no fish in the sea of the tourist beach. #8. Some Maldivians are constantly sitting in the guest living area sofa near the TV of the hotel, so it's difficult to spend some time there. They are loud and spending the wifi of the hotel. #9. The island is infested of crows (several hundreds of them). They live in the roof of the hotel. They make some much noise at 6 in the morning that they will not let you sleep. #10. None of the staff ever cared about our complains. It's basically none of their problems. #11. There is only 1 restaurant in the island. It's full of flies. Very dirty. #12. The staff is constantly trying to sell excursions. #13. Bad smell from the toilet. #14. The aircon was making a broken noise at night. Not for light sleepers.
