My favourite is the championes frito but the menu changes daily and is never dissapointing. Ask for a cold Jarra, they are kept in the freezer. The beer and the Tinto de Verano are excellent and it is situated next to a park to keep the kids amused.

Later in this review I shall select the "dinner" option, In truth we were here for drinks and tapas, but the tapas were so good and satisfying that they truly merit the dinner appellation. The majority of Spanish bars serve tapas at random and you never know what to expect next. And, in general, that is fun and I enjoy it. Bar Avenida is in the minority which offers a tapas menu. The menu is quite extensive and it was refreshing to have a choice. We had albondigas, bombas, calamaris, patatas bravas, olivas and more. All were well presented and very tasty. The house white was more than drinkable and our waiter was patient and friendly. A nice place. We shall return.

A nice place for a drink or bite located IN the city park in the center of town, by the Explanada de San Antón, with plenty of outdoor seating. The waitstaff and management could not possibly be nicer or more accommodating. The food is average, but reliable... the HUGE 4-euro pincho moruno is a great deal.

Stopped here for lunch driving from Cordova to Granada, and what a pleasant surprise. The food was very, very good. I ordered a greek salad - but their version were completely different to what I'm used to. But it really didn't matter. The vegetables were fresh and there was two types of cheeses (none of them feta ...) and it tasted really good. We also had fried calamaris which were prepared just right - well seasoned and tender. The portions were big and the prices good.Really a good place to stop

Es normal que suela estar lleno a diario para desayunar, porque aparte de ser muy económico, los churros y las tostadas son exquisitos y nunca te vas a quedar con hambre. Muy recomendado.

This restaurant is reasonably priced with very good tapas and a very substantial menu del dia. You can sit outside all year round too as it has a covered area by the road, and watch people go by.

My wife and I have been coming to Alcala La Real every year since 2009 and staying for a month there (great cycling around the area). Choosing our food is very important to us and eating out every day lunch and dinner in different restaurants in Alcala have made us very familiar with the different outlets there, I I must say that The Torrepalma just continuously offers the best quality food in town, always fresh and generous portions for a fair price.... can't go wrong there.Julio & Janice from Dubai

Very very good food! Fish was fresh and delicious. We had tuna and fish of the day. Bread was amazing as well. Really nice and friendly waiter too. I really recommend this place!

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch after visiting the Fortaleza. Our host was very accommodating of our lack of Spanish and assisted us with photos on an iPad of the dishes available. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we ordered, along with the mini taps that came with our drinks. Highly recommend!
