This place was recommended for it´s ambience, with some second-story seating overlooking the plaza. The view was alright, but the plaza can be better enjoyed other ways. The food was just alright, but rather pricey. The drinks were good but took too long. Three times as long for it to be made than it took for me to drink it! So it wasn´t worth ordering another, by the time we finished our very mediocre ribs.

We stayed in Cajamarca for three days and couldn't find a vegetarian/vegan restaurant at all! It was only two hours before our departure that a local tip led us to this gem.The staff were very friendly and efficient. I would probably say that it was the quickest service I've had so far in Peru.The portions were amazing for what we paid (10 soles for the veggi-burger dish, and 2 soles for their complete breakfast!).Overall it was a great experience and left us with a good taste of Cajamarca (literally). Wish we found it earlier... Definitely worth a visit!

Me parece un lugar a muy buen precio para lo que ofrecen. El ambiente es muy bueno, muy bonito y cómodo pero sobre todo, los cafés son muy buenos, tienen gran variedad y mezclas muy originales. Los sandwiches También muy ricos. Recomiendo probar la humitas con queso, son deliciosas y también la torta de zanahoria.

I only spent the day in cajamarca and randomly stopped there to eat a bacon and cheese burger. Wow! The meat was incredible, one of the best burgers I had in south america! Plus, I did not have a place to put my bag for the day and i asked the chef/owner and he kindly kept it in his car for the day!

Restaurant El Redil is located at the Plaza de Armas in busy Cajamarca. The restaurant has a no-nonsense atmosphere and focuses on adequate service. El Redil offers à -la-carte South American food. Service is quick and friendly.We stayed next door at Hotel Casona del Inca and we didnât fancy walking around for a restaurant. Moreover El Redil was fully booked with locals, a good sign. We went for grilled steaks with fries and salad and the the steaks were excellent. We found that the choice for drinks and deserts is limited.For anyone who seeks good food and want to dine in a lively ambiance, El Redil is the place for you. Recommended.

I enjoyed this place around the corner from where we stayed. Unfortunately, they had no fish (it's over 1/2 the menu) and we found out after they did not take Visa! Those were 2 snags but what we did order that was available was delicious, and if you want to have the biggest mound of meat you can eat, this is your place!! I would recomm end for a meal. Has a real local feel that I enjoyed.

This restaurant forms part of the hotel Wyndham Costa del Sol, Cajamarca. We didn't stay at the hotel but we had two meals (lunch and dinner) in the restaurant. It is perfectly situated on the corner of the Plaza de Armas with huge windows so that you can sit and watch the world go by. The food was very good and staff were friendly and attentive. Very enjoyable and highly recommended.
