La Ciano' Ristorante Pizzeria

Reviewed By MrHyde2010

I went here two e during my holidays. The waiter are nice, the location is nice as well and it reminds a tipical mountain atmosphere.I tried a pizza and was anything of spectacular and another day I tried a main dish with "camoscio polenta e funghi", polenta was unsalty but the mushrooms were very good.At the end they use to offer a bitter glass, very kind of them. The place gives a password for the Wi-Fi which is not possible to get in because is too long and for sure with mistakes although i tried in many ways to get in.Prices in the average, beer and main dish or pizza it's around 22€.Service quite fast.Unfortunately i cannot give more than 3 stars.

When we got tired of the food at our hotel (which was included in the half-board package), so we decided to try this place. First clue of quality: it was a very quiet night in town after a very busy weekend, almost no one around, and the Adlerkeller was going to be full. We just squeaked in. We both had the barley soup —excellent—and for mains I had the Stinco Maiale (leg of pig) and my wife had ravioli. Mine was exceptional, very tender, very flavorful, like Osso Bucco minus the sauce and risotto. My wife’s ravioli was a little bitter to our taste, although others around us ordered it also and seemed to enjoy. We skipped dessert, but these guys have a great selection of grappa (if you know your grappas, and I like to think I do) so we had one of the Berta offerings and it was terrific. Cozy atmosphere, great service, really good glass of wine, great evening.

Popped in here on the off-chance of a table on valentines ...they don’t take bookings apparently! Very busy restaurant but despite this very warm welcome, attentive service (without being intrusive) and delicious food. Can recommend the sole, the seafood spaghetti (lots of it too!) and the panna cotta with mixed berries. Had a really nice bottle of wine too at a very reasonable price.

We were guests on two occasions at this charming hotel, so breakfast and dinner were included as part of our tour package.Breakfast was always a huge, varied spread of cereals, fruits, yogurts, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, high quality teas, juices, etc. Dinner for us was included each evening, and the 3-course meals consisted of large portions. The salad buffet was filling on its own; but then they’d serve a Primi of soup or generous pile of pasta, followed by a Secondi of meat slabs with potatoes and root vegetables, and finished with a generous Dolci such as ice cream. Wine was always available. Hubs and I would usually be full after the Primi. Everything was hearty, fresh, and full of REAL flavor unlike the U.S.’s conventionally grown and raised produce and meats.Staff did their utmost to keep us happy and well-fed. They did their jobs with pride and if there's one aspect I miss about Alta Badia (besides the food), it's the people at Ustaria Posta.

The weather was bad, the place was just close, so we followed the reviews of other advisors. Well, fortunately tastes are different, but unfortunately we missed a great lunch elsewhere. Uncomfortable atmosphere, service friendly but beer arrived after the food and the food itself- nothing to talk about ...Dear wonderfulworld81 from Zurich, in your nickname there is a positive perspective that unfortunately is not reflected in your review about us and we are extremely sorry about this. In fact, in the mountains it can happen that there is a bad day in terms of weather and this obviously means that the atmosphere is not as beautiful as when the sun is shining and the sky is blue and when our guests have lunch on our Terrace overlooking the magnificent view of the Marmolada and Sassongher ....and I’m not making excuses for ‘a hiccup’ that can happen while working like the one you described in your review: the beer did not arrive until after the food. However, maybe it would have simply been enough to point it out to the waiter who would have immediately apologized and made up for it.This, together with the food which was not to your liking, means that you harshly gave us a rating of ‘terrible’. Mr. Wonderful, your review has really hurt us. It hurt me, my family and my staff, down to the wire after the winter season. A season that has been extremely rewarding, as you can see from the many other TripAdvisor reviews from which you disassociate yourself. But the world is ‘wonderful’ and there is room for all tastes. At the Rifiugio I Tablà each day we strive to make our guests happy. If we did not manage to do this with you, once again, please accept my sincerest apologies. Come and see us again next winter and you’ll see that we will change your mind about us. Greetings from the Dolomites Michaela and family

Recently refurbished, the Bamby mountain hut is on the piste of the same name which, from Piz La Ila, leads towards San Cassiano. The rustic style in which the shelter is furnished is complemented by the terrace, where lunch in the sunshine can be lingere

At Bamby the food is first class. We have tried many of their dishes over the years, and were never disappointed. The staff are excellent. they are friendly, attentive, speak several languages (Italian, German and English are no problem) and they also have menu's in those languages. The service is pretty fast when you order drinks, food takes a little longer but is still fast and well worth waiting for. The hamburgers are exquisite because the meat they use is top notch. Full of flavor! Seating is nice: outside there is a view of the slope, and usually little or no wind, inside is nicely decorated, rustic, wooden everything. Warm and welcoming. Bamby remains one of the best skislope restaurants I've ever been to. Keep up the good work and we'll be back!

Rifugio Santa Croce

Fairly old Rifugio located against one of the more beautiful Dolomite peaks. We hiked from around San Cassiano and it was a welcome sight for our lunch. We sat outside to soak in the sun and the awesome views. The food itself was mediocre and my Kaiserschmarren was not up to standard. The server forgot my beer order and I had to remind her after other tables were getting their beer/wine orders and we were not. She later apologized.

Rifugio Lee

Reviewed By Marcovojage

We have been at Lee last week with friends from the UK.We are Italian and can tell you that rarely these days we come across restaurants that are so dedicated to genuine, honest and yet incredibly appetizing food. The Rifugio has been passed on from generations to generations: it is a simple place as it used to be in the mountains and you feel a family atmosphere as soon as you walk on the terrace that boosts amazing views. Even better: beyond superb ingredients the chef is also tops and you are looked after informally and yet with genuine care by a very friendly staff. In essence this is a genuine family business that displays passion for what they do and a commitment to provide guest with a memorable genuine experience.Highly recommended both in winter (ski in - ski out) and summer (easy walk or cable car). Enjoy!
