Because of its ideal location between the base of Mount Juneau and the Gastineau Channel, the Southeastern Alaskan city of Juneau has been the home of Native American fisherman, European fur traders, and American gold prospectors. Now a free-spirited state capital, Juneau is the perfect base for a journey into the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness, whether it's for fishing, kayaking, and dog sledding in the National Parks, whale-watching at Icy Strait, or glacier hiking at the Juneau Icefield.

Unfortunately, we won't get to take this tour this year as our cruise has been cancelled. However, under very difficult financial circumstances for them, Juneau Tours handled our refund very promptly, efficiently, and cheerfully. For a small company getting absolutely hammered by circumstance they cannot control, their professional response was most impressive to me. We'll definitely support them when we finally make it to Alaska, and I hope you will as well.

This was not our first choice tour however we had a great time! Tour guide was nice and pleasant - they did what they were paid to do. We enjoyed both the canoe paddle and the glacier trek. We have some nice pictures but since we have done glacier tracks before in Iceland and Greenland this one was bit disappointing.... Other people on our tour just loved it! as this was their first time glacier experience :)
