We were staying in a vacation rental north of Lyon while attending the Women’s World Cup and had initially wanted to take a Beaujolais Wine Tour on one of the off-days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a tour or private tour guide that wasn’t already booked. As a result, we moved further North and started looking at Burgundy wine tours. Luckily by-chance, we booked The Wines of Burgundy Day Tour with Pieter Smits. We had a wonderful tour with Pieter as we visited several villages, chateaus, and wineries. Not only were we able to sample some fine wines but Pieter also selected a restaurant where we had a great lunch. Pieter is very engaging and knowledgeable which helped make the tour very enjoyable. It's an experience I will always remember.

We are travelling from Australia and have previously visited other countries prior to to France which had amazing service and friendlyness. However 5minutes in France we found them to be rude 10minutes in and they were pushing us, 30minutes and pickpocketed. My advice when you get off the train is get back on and try a different country. Try Ireland, England or even Amsterdam. We are counting down the minutes to get out of this thieving, smelly, rude, dirty country Cheers

We had booked a trip with alexia Papin specifically to visit vineyards in Beaune area as we own a vineyard in Coghills creek Victoria Australia. The places she took us to were amazingly helpful & did not hold back on explaining every aspect of growing grapes, maintaining their vines to achieve the best results & the process they go through in producing wine. Alexia’s interaction with the wineries showed how highly they regarded her. Also on our tour we were taken to the many interesting sites in Beaune.

We recently spent two delightful days with Tracy Thurling of Burgundy by Request. If you’re looking for the opportunity to tour the fabulous Côte-d’Or with an insider that has relationships with wonderful people who make wine in the region, go no further. For English speakers in particular, she offers great perspective on the culture, the language, the history and the terrior of this relatively small area that produces many of the most beautiful wines produced in the world. She brings context to the discussion by taking you to the places where you can feel and touch the history and to the plots where these legendary grapes are grown. As an added bonus, you will enjoy French cuisine and wine as a local would. Not only did my wife and I feel having Tracy as a resource was invaluable, we will no doubt spend more time with her the next time we travel to Burgundy. Highest recommendation! Amusez-vous bien!

I unfortunately cannot recommend this tour operator. I booked a tour with them and got the information that the tour was fully refundable. Given the Corona crisis, I had to cancel my tour. After the initial information that refunds need a bit longer (which I fully understand), nothing happened. I still haven´t received the refund after months and I have not received any information when/if this will happen at all, either. Any attempt to contact the company is being ignored. Neither do they answer to messages nor phone calls. Very disappointing...

I had a wonderful time on the one day bike tour. Many thanks to Theo for sharing his knowledge of the region and its wines. Lunch in Montrachet was delicious. We stopped for wine tastings en route at 2 contrasting domaines - it was good to experience the difference. The view of the vineyards from a bike was truly memorable!
